Not really. For a trade to get vetoed, it has to be either completely one-sided and/or it has to unfairly impact the competitive balance of the league. This trade is neither. If Segura finishes close to Trout in points my point will be vindicated that the trade was imbalanced. It won't matter if I lose the bet to Pal. He's a good guy, but I disagree with him on the issue. I proposed the wager to keep attention on this.
As for UN, I'll give him some of the action on the bet, but the terms would be different for him. Trout had 643 points last year. What would constitute a lopsided trade 10% difference, 15% difference? A player with 10% less points would have 579 points. Only 10 hitters had more points than that in 2012. Trading players in the top 10 is not a lopsided. 15% less points would be 547 points. Only 18 hitters reached that level. Let that blowhard UN put his money where his mouth is. Let him take the Segura vs Trout bet and since he is convinced it is lopsided he should spot me 15%. He'll never go for it, because he is nothing but a blowhard.
