  1. Are you kidding, 3 walks in a row?
  2. This guy has the stuff. He doesn’t need to be perfect.
  3. Big kudos to Cora for leaving in Eovaldi in when he was mowing down the opposition. When Nate is dealing, you have to ride with him. I can remember seeing Eovaldi dealing like this when he was with the Yankees and Girardi would always take him out before he could face the order a 3rd time, even if he was at 70 or 80 pitches. It almost always ended badly for the Yankees. The knee-jerk automatic lifting of pitchers before they can face the order a third time is an example of stupid herd mentality based on “metrics” that has solidified my low opinion of managers. Cora did the right thing tonight and rode his best horse who was having a great night.
  4. is that some sort of homemade Milk of Magnesia concoction?
  5. I was listening. They are very down on his prospects of being useful doing forward.
  6. It’s pretty obvious that Richards was one of the major cheating culprits. His spin rate is way down and he can’t get movement and get people out without the spin rate. He’s pretty much useless without the foreign substance. He might not be useful for the remainder of the season.
  7. It doesn’t look like two teams fighting for 1st place.
  8. why was Verdugo running from 1st in the 10 th inning? I didn’t understand that one.
  9. He has not been throwing well since his shoulder problems during Spring Training.
  10. Hopefully Bloom knows more about pitching than Ben does.
  11. Strike while the iron is hot. Maybe he will stay hot in the majors for a little while and build some confidence. Santana needs to be discarded.
  12. i wasn’t debating that, just enjoying that he is back to his dominant form. When he is right, it is hard to find someone better.
  13. Kimbrel has 20 saves, 0.61 ERA , 49 k’s and 9 walks. When he is right, it just isn’t fair for hitters. He destroys them.
  14. They usually correct stuff like that. It might take a day.
  15. Long swing? Blind spots or holes?
  16. 90 plus. I had attributed the success to Varitek’s meticulous game prep, but a good portion might have been substance enhanced spin rate, and Cora is a convicted cheater.
  17. It may be a faulty memory, but I remember KC being a tough place for the Red Sox even when KC was bad, especially in the carpet years.
  18. And he is clear out of ideas since they banned his garbage can scheme.
  19. The radio announcers the other day mentioned that Santana was overdue for a hit. I agree that he is overdue, but he is overdue for being DFA’d. I have had enough of this guy... especially as a lead off hitter.
  20. Bring back the spitball.
  21. Maybe he has always cheated. That is a possibility. He seems to be upset by the new policy.
  22. I saw some of Gonsalves’ outing. He looked pretty good.
