D-BACKS---Clement, Tony G and abe alvarez
RED SOX--Glaus
better than the blue jays proposed trade of Hudson and Batista (the blue jays already have 3 first baseman and 3 third baseman and 1 second baseman, so i dont no why they would consider glaus and his big contract). The orioles have reportedly offered Bedard which isnt very much.
id rather keep arroyo and deal him for Jeremy Reed. ONLY if we could sign Millwood.
I think if Glaus can stay healthy he could hit 45-50 HR for the Sox and 130 RBI

Peter Gammons says the redsox have to get another bat in the middle of the lineup (Troy Glaus), a leadoff guy (Julio Lugo and takes care of SS) and a CF (Jeremy Reed, who he says well be better than Damon in 3-4 years).
to bad the Devil Rays front office sucks. They have 3 solid CF in Crawford, Gathright and Baldelli. The problem is theyd want Lester and someone else in any trade
i think the sox have to get crisp because hes really the only available lead-off hitter. He and Reed are both good CF's and Crisp has a little more speed and is a much better hitter. NO way is reed leading off for the Red Sox next year
first, we need someone who can help right away in the wells trade, probaly a bullpen guy. Also, why would you trade your starting RF for another 3B prospect. Harris plays 3B/2B and we already got guys in Pedroia and Marte for those positions. Id much rather have Nixon and Crisp in my lineup than Reed and Crisp. I think we should keep Clement, who by the way went to the Allstar game last year, as our 4 or 5 starter. Gil Meche is a spot starter at best. Last two years hes had an ERA over 5.
1. Trade Bronson Arroyo for Coco Crisp
2. Trade David Wells and Youk for Scott Linebrink and Adrian Gonzalez

anyone else feel like the Sox front office is more worried about winning in the future than now. The went out to get beckett, who is young only 25, when there were other pitchers available. They traded their starting SS for a young prospect, when they dont have anyone else who can fill in at SS. Theyre 2 possible CF replacements are both under 25.
It really sounds to me like Lucchino doesnt think the Sox can be a World Series contender in 2006 and he is planing for more of the long term than short
according to Buster Olney, Lucchino and Boras have had a "difficult history" and says there wasnt alot of contact between Damon and the Red Sox over the last few days.
i put 50% of the blame on Lucchino, 30% on Boras and 20% on damon himself. They all contributed to this
