  1. Ahitter, I understand that, but my point was what you said "but hopefully they can differentiate between the hyped guys and the real deal." I feel guys get held on to way too long at times, and the front office begins to buy into the hype Ross Bullock Bullock and the Bunch
  2. Guys, Its great to be apart of this board. I am Ross Bullock and I am the host of Bullock and the Bunch. Its that time of year again and after all the off-season buzz its time to start it back up again. I am sure I will say things on here that will really get some of you guys going (check minor leagues post) but hey thats what these boards are for. Feel free to rip me apart for some of the ideas I throw off this board, cause hey I do it just for that reason Looking Foward to it Ross Bullock Bullock and the Bunch
  3. We are lucky enough to live in a region that gives us the coverage that it does of the Red Sox farm system, but to me it seems we are always hyping guys up to be the next big thing, just because of all the media coverage the sox farm hands get. Im also starting to believe the organization believe all the media hype as well. Take Clay Buckholtz, Yes he threw a no-hitter in his first season, but so did Bud Smith.....Who is Bud Smith??? Thats my point. Clay could end up starting this season in triple A (which will not make him very happy) and while you really can never have enough pitching....enough is enough. The sox could have delt him in many different deals, but were too affraid they were giving away another Hanley Ramirez. I by no means, mean to compare Bud Smith and Clay Buckholtz but guys before we start hyping up the next guy just remember there not always what they are cracked up to be.....
  4. Guys, We talked about this on the show the other night. Its pretty amazing that this girl can do what she does at this age. Its not going to be easy for her, but once again Boston media and really blow something up huh??? Ross Bullock Bullock and the Bunch
  5. Dice K is going to put together a pretty good year this year. We are going to see him at the bottom of the rotation going against other teams 4 or 5. Lets not forget this is a guy who not too long ago won 18 games and while control issues have always been a problem he still found way to win games and keep the sox in the game. Ross Bullock Bullock and the Bunch
  6. Lowell, Bucholz, Kalish for Adrian Gonzalez Lugo, Bowden for Montero, Byrnes Sign Hairston/Bloomquist, Kotsay pedroia youk ortiz gonzalez bay drew lowrie bard/montero ellsbury Byrnes Hairston other C Kotsay

  8. according to jayson stark, the rays, blue jays and cardinals are the only teams in on jason bay and there is no chance he ends up in boston
  9. i wish john henry wasnt an idiot and would just take that
  10. im afraid the sox are going to overpay big time just to get rid of manny, all the teams involved know that they can screw the sox because manny has to go.
  11. according to Gordan Edes, whats holding up the deal is the pirates part, and while most people in the sox organization would take hermida, stanton and tucker for manny, without the bay part, but apparently John f***ing Henry wants to get Bay in any Manny deal
  12. but http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8398506
  13. I wish it was the Rox To Bos: Holliday and Fuentes? maybe another pitcher To Col: Stanton, Tucker, Hermida, Bowden and Place To Fla: Manny and a sox prospect like Hunter Jones
  14. from mlbtraderumors wonder who the "mystery team" is
  15. griffey in CF, what a joke guess its not as bad as swisher tho
  16. http://condodomain.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/manny-grill.jpg http://usss.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/ramirez_grill.jpg http://www.theonion.com/content/files/images/Manny-Ramirez-R.jpg
  17. Kevin Goldstein of baseball prospectus-- ughh, f*** bay and grabow and atlaest keep the marlins prospects Bay and Hermida have the same effect on the Sox playoff chances, in that they probably wont make it this year. So why not get Hermida who is going to help out more in the future than Bay, not to mention that Tucker and Stanton all have huge upside. And why are the Marlins so eager to getting Manny? It seems like theyll do almost anything to get him right now.
  18. its not looking to good as of now
  19. im not gonna be sad at all when jeter leaves, but its gonna be weird watching yankees games with someone else playing short. same with rivera and seeing someone else in the 9th. but ill be very happy when those 2 are done
  20. it is, its sucks, but its gotta happen at some point its also weird thinking about the pats without tom brady  but its gonna happen at some point
  21. That would atleast give the Sox a pretty solid offense for the future along with the ridiculous amount of talented pitchers we have that are under 28. C--Kottaras/Exposito 1B--Anderson 2B--Pedroia 3B--Youk/Almanzar? SS--Lowrie LF--Hermida CF-Ellsbury/Lin RF--Reddick/Kalish DH--Stanton
  22. from heyman Id rather that, then Bay and Grabow
  23. why didnt we go after Kemp???? I guess the Sox still think they can win with Bay instead of Manny
