1. Trade David Wells
Id like to see Justin Duchscherer for wells. if not him scott linebrink would be fine.
2. Get a 1B
I think Arroyo for Overbay would be a smart move. Good OBP he is a nice doubles hitter
3. Find a 2B
I like the Mirabelli for loretta deal. Loretta is a proving allstar 2B. (Varitek or shoppach could catch wakefield with some practice in spring training)
4. A lefty for the pen
The twins really like kevin youkilis and if we got overbay, youk could be traded. Youk for J.C. Romero is possible.
5. DO NOT trade Manny
There is no way you can replace his bat in the lineup. Troy Glaus is no where near as good of a hitter as Manny.
6. Sign Rondell white or preston wilson as a 4th OF
Need a right handed OF to play against lefties since nixon hasnt proven he can hit lefties yet
7. Sign a Right handed hitting 1B
to sub for overbay against lefties. Wes Helms could fit in here
8. RESIGN Johnny Damon
probaly the best leadoff hitters in the game. the catalyst of the redsox offense
