    i guess the "go to jail" can go whatever way you want to hear it as but the part about him being careful, im putting that on the fact that if he was taping the call he was nervous that the same deal could be going on on the other side. you're getting the same conversation either way but i can understand how that would make a person nervous. "the bigger the lie the more people will believe it" that is true. i just have no reason to believe mcnamee more than i do to believe clemens. in fact i trust canseco more than anyone that is open and talking about clemens' situation. and that's not saying much.

    I'm with you crespo, as much as i think roger is a dick i cant help but start to sway toward his side. When Mcnamee said "i'll do whatever, you want me to go to jail? what do you want me to do?" The only thing i can think of that would keep Clemens from saying yes is that fact that the mans son is in a tough spot health wise. i dont think anyone can be more than 10% from the middle on this because who's to say who is lying. im leaning towards roger being innocent.

    i guess it could happen, it makes sense for all teams involved for reasons mentioned in the article.....but with three big names involved im sure it would get complicated and fall through even if it picks up any steam.

    why bother negotiate with someone when the deal wont got through anyway. if santana is going to block a trade to the team your dealing with then negotiating with them is just a waste of time.

    hopefully now that the yankees have upped thier offer for santana we dont try to counter it but instead go for haren. Does anyone know what the A's are looking for? Would they accept the deal that we had proposed for santana? Or would he cost even less?

    IMO if the redsox enter the sweepstakes then they will get him, and that's only going to happen if Lowell does infact leave. Otherwise i think the Dodgers will get him.

    Well i guess that means either Lowell acts the good guy that he is and comes back here for less, or we probably sign A-Rod. Either way we cant complain. If neither happens then we get to see the front office start getting creative to find another option. Dont we get two weeks to negotiate before the yankees can offer anything??

    Buccholz and Lester is too much on our side to give up along with coco crisp. i would do it in a heartbeat for buccholz and coco, or even lester and ellsbury. Of couse i would much prefer to keep buccholz and ellsbury while still getting Santana. So how about Lester Masterson/Bowden (or both) and crisp. Anyone think any of those three trades have a chance of happening rather than Buck/Lester/Coco
