  1. not reallly important but i thought i'd give you props for referring to your favorite team as "they".
  2. i was out last night and didnt get to see it... but on redsox.com it shows he took at least three walking steps after standing and watching his homerun leave. the standing and watching thing he usually does and then breaks right into a trot. i dont think that deserves "one in the ear"
  3. i heard on EEI earlier today that he has caught two different knucklers in the minor leagues. one of whom throws his knuckleball 80 mph
  4. he sucks. he couldnt miss a bat last night...literally, does anyone recall even one swing and miss
  5. maybe just because i was at the game and having that added emotion is what is making me feel this way, but i'm pissed off. in the last two pages no one else really seems to be. anyone think this marks the end of gagne pitching in close games, at least until he starts showing he is worthy to do so EDIT: nevermind....decided to read page 10
  6. i thought kielty had a clause preventing him from being in the minors for too long.... why wouldnt we wait till september to call jacoby back up?
  7. thats gay, im going to the second game. at least its beckett though
  8. the crowd was dead, don and jerry didnt even have to speak up over the crowd.... great win though. i guess we are gonna score 25 runs tomorrow :dunno:
  9. not a blow out... but there is still 2 more games to get those 27 runs
  10. pretty sure all the sox fans on this board want the sox to stop playing like s*** and actually win.... that being said, lets go get 30+ runs in this series against the d-rays. we need to blow there asses out of the water before things start looking up.
  11. damn it to hell it wont play
  12. sounds good to me, the number one and two on all time three pointer list on the same team. clutch shooting from a limited role. thank you kg and ray allen for making this even the slightest possibility
  13. i think i am jumping on. i wont buy a jersey just because i dont really wear the football or baseball jerseys i have and why show off the fact that i'm just getting on the celtics now. i will watch a few games this season though which i have never been able to do. i've tried but i cant even get to halftime. in my own defense the best celtic team i've ever seen is 'tione and pierce and i've never liked basketball as a sport period. maybe this new Celtic team can change that, i would like a winter sport to watch other than football every sunday.
  14. wow cant believe i didnt know that. for some reason i thought luis gonzalez or however you spell it was MVP of that WS
  15. who was WS MVP in '01?
  16. that's what i thought too, but it might have been thank you cause when coco came in it looked like beckett said it again right in coco's face.
  17. i wouldnt mind if it werent for that fact that shilling can hardly make it two months in a full 5 man rotation before losing it and needing a break
  18. i guess you're right it's not all that necessary, but i think we really do need another middle of the lineup guy. And seeing as we would have to deal Lowell or Youk to finish that deal, what kind of SP help would a deal centered around one of those two bring back? i would have to figure a #3 or #4 type of guy. And wouldnt that be worth it?
  19. Kinda off topic but... With all the losses this team has in one run games i think offense should be a higher priority than SP, although that needs help too. But on the top of this page in the article posted by riverside is says Tiexera is avalable. how close is say Lester/Bowden, Moss/WMP, and Lars Anderson?
  20. I'm praying for some more hammy injuries at this point.
  21. With the deadline approaching and nothing that is deserving of great interest being (publically) shopped, i think our season turning around could be laid on Schilling's shoulders on how effective he is when he returns. However terrible that is to think about. It's either him or Gabbard/Lester taking the 5 spot and aweing us start after start.
  22. called it, did boomer do that back back back thing as much this year? because it didnt seem as bad as it has been
