to be honest there was no plan to pick three infielders, it was more to pick the three hitters that could best hold down a lineup for the next 5 years. Good infield defense was secondary, maybe i should take advantage of that though and look up gb-fb ratios and such to take advantage of that seeing as my pitching staff may be my weakness. a good website to find a stat like that would be nice.....

i really like my middle of the order, and although 3b and 1b are kind of stacked positions they dont have a lot of great young guys looking to take over. Votto being available later definately entered my mind and i like him a lot, but i REALLY dont want to reach for pitching in the first three rounds. Im likely going to have to with my next pick though

im down with guys like johan and lincecum going so early, but if you didnt make a point to get guys like that i think its a little late. and then guys like webb and cain and danks go off the board and to me it seems a bit reactionary.

Can i ask you why you like fielder over howard? Is it just personal preferance (which i completely understand) or is there something behind it. Because i find you arent typically one to make a call like that just off gut. Also there were two people i was considering along with arod for my pick and howard was one of them, the other was another first baseman that im hoping people forget about. so thats at least two firstbaseman i had above fielder personally
