yeah, his mom was kidnapped I htink late season. I don't know if she ever got back home. thats the first thign I was thinking when I read the story, actually
Personally it sounds kind of fishy to me. Why would a millionaire get down like that when he could pay someone 5 grand to do it for him and not get his hands dirty?

LOL, at his age, thats just a sad statement on the Pads.
BTW, is he ever gonna retire? The guys like pushing 80 isnt he? Seems like he's been aorund forever
Likewise. I annoys me to no end to see Jimmy "Douchebag" Fallon as the posterboy for Red Sox fans. It's true, he is the eiptome of a Red Sox fan, just go ask him yourself if you don't believe me.
yuck that has all the smellings of a hacthet job. poor guy, he was a great competitor and deserved much much better than this from a guy who based his entire existence on the Red Sox as cursed losers only to be foiled by guess who:rolleyes:
Yeah that seemed kinda weird.
boy: "we're breaking up, I'm dumping you"
girl: "are you still gonna fix the toilet and paint the room before you go?"
boy: "yeah why not"
:dunno:
wow. I don't know what to say, simply stunned. I hope the Red Sox don't mail it in for 2006, as someone suggested. The rivalry is one of the most enjoyable things about watching baseball. Hell the Red Sox series in April was the only reason I even bothered to watch YES that early
don't trade Manny to the Angels. the Sox and Yanks will have to go through them every year to get to the ALCS. Can you imagine Manny and Vlad back to back? I'm telling you, you are going to regret trading him to a contender.
They should probably tear it down and build a bigger park, that way Bonds can fit his head in there.
Either that or build some urinals so Alou can send his piss down a proper avenue, and not his hands
Please you take him. Imagine a rotation of Clement and Burnett, and compare it to our Wright-Pavano rotation. Yuck, I think all NL pithcers should by law be forced to stay in the NL (though Wright was an AL pithcer b4, still, I don't care)
So what does that have to do with the Red Sox? I'm still not getting this. As far as I know, my team is going after him too. This isn't a criticism of AJ possibly being pursued by the Red Sox
He didnt say it had anythign to to do with the Red Sox. The word he used was "I'd shy away" not "you should shy away". And this is the "general baseball" forum
Maybe it's just me, but everytime I see a guy who is touted as having a killer slider, all i can say is "ho hum" The sliderjust doesn't seem that impressive to me (even RJ's). I'll admit part fo the reason is because its hard to see the actual movement on the ball from the standard CF camera. 10 times out of 10 I will pick the guy with the killer split instead of slider
Its in this weeks USA Today Sports Weekly. It isn't Sheff, he doesn't have an agent. I'd be surprised if it was Damon, and I really hope it isn't a White Sox. They don't need a reminder of 1917
