  1. Another ill-advised comparison. How many MVP's has Grace won?(0) In fact how many times was Grace even in the top 10 for MVP voting?(O) I wont go into the silver slugers that Grace doesnt have nor the batting crowns that he doesnt have. The funny thing is I'm not even one of those Yankee fans that will go to their grave thinking that Mattingly is a HOF. I will however defend him when hes being trashed.
  2. You seem to have this idea that the east coast writers will screw over Crede and give it to A-Rod. What are you basing that on? A-Rod has never won a gold glove at 3rd and Eric Chavez(Who plays for a west coast team) has had that award on lock down for the past 4 years. I havent heard any hype for a gold glove for A-Rod at 3rd. I would worry about Chavez winning it before A-Rod.
  3. I agree with you there.
  4. We can argue this untill we are blue in the face. IMO a playoff system would make this a whole lot easier.
  5. wow alot of Red Sox fan support for Donnie Baseball. I'm glad you guys also see the kind of ball player/person he was.
  6. I rest my case. Thank you RS. LMAO Vaughn, btw Thomas was one hell of a hitter...too bad he couldnt play a lick in the field.
  7. There called turnovers for a reason. OSU turned the ball over. If they dont turn the ball over Texas loses. What officiating mistakes were made that were so bad that USC shouldnt have won? Reggie Bush pushes Lienart into the end zone? That happens all the time and its NEVER called. I heard the spot was bad but I never saw a replay that showed where exactly the ball landed out of bounds. The bottomline is ND gave up a friggin 50+ yard passing play at the end of the game. Maybe if ND stops them there they dont have to worry about "bad calls". Too bad ball calls are never overturned after the game because it goes down in the books as a win for USC and a loss for ND. The same goes for Texas and OSU who stinks.
  8. Well for one OSU isnt beter then ND. OSU cant move the ball. You bring up the 2 missed penelties but I can bring up the fact that Texas was out played for 3 quarters in that OSU game and the only reason they won was that OSU couldnt hold on to the football.
  9. I just said the Texas win vs OSU was impressive. Your not breaking any ground there. So how many people will look at Texas as the NC if they win it without playing an undefeated USC? Thats just BS. Besides, Virgina Tech and Georgia have tougher schedules then both of them combined so if you want to include tough schedules and undefeated teams those 2 teams are certainly have an arguement if they are left out of the Rose Bowl.
  10. On his 95th pitch he hits Crede
  11. Oswalt is at 94 pitches
  12. AJ crushed that ball. Any other ballpark and its out. Anyway Sox take the lead. Gut check time for the stros.
  13. True, I forgot about those other times.
  14. I agree, 2 AFC championship games in your building and they are 0-2. Atleast the Colts had to play in Foxbro.
  15. I dont think its justified. Who has Texas playd that so much better then USC's opponets? Oaklahoma sucks, Texas Tech is overrated. The win at Ohio State was impressive but IMO its not tougher then USC beating UD at South Bend. Plus USC has yet to face UCLA. You have to knock off the champs to be the champs. Thats what the BCS doesnt take into its formula. Hopefully both teams will meet up in the Rose Bowl because they both are great teams but IMO USC is #1 untill the lose.
  16. I still think the stros can win this series. They go back home where they play very well. I can seen this being like the 01 World Series when the home team wins every ball game. That said game 4 you have Backe going and in game 5 you dont know who is starting AND to top it off you have to wonder about Lidge now who threw up a meatball to Podsednik.
  17. wow again
  18. McCarver must read these boards lol.
  19. Jenks has a good curve. He needs to mix that in a little more because your right. It is stright.
  20. That hit by Vizcaino reminded me of his GW hit against the Mets in game 1 of the 2000 world series.
  21. I heard the same thing. Once Alderson left his post they have gone soft on the umpires after they make brutal calls.
  22. lmao I remember that. I remember Jeff Moorad(Manny's agent at the time) refered to the Yankees as the "big dogs" or something like that when they called about him.
  23. To be honest the umps having the worst post-season I've ever seen does not suprise me. I have felt they had a horrible regular season anyway. The umps this year have been brutal all year long. I dont know what happend but there has been a huge drop off in the quality of calls. In a game in June Yankees VS Pirates the Yankees were down to their final out and the umpire called Sheffield safe on a grounder to SS but he was out by a mile. That lead to a rally and a GW HR by Giambi. That one game is the difference between the Yankees playing the Angels rather then the White Sox. Ditto for the Red Sox. That said the Yankees have also been robbed this season by some brutal calls but you catch my drift.
  24. Konerko is pulling a Beltran(not as big numbers but big hits in big spots). He is making himself alot of money.
