  1. There is no doubt in my mind that they will press hard for B.J. Ryan. The only question is will they be willing to give him closer money to be the set up man. I would because if you sign him to a 4-year deal chances are by the last year of that deal he will take over as the Yankee closer. They really need to start thinking about the future. I would look hard for a young CF. There is talk of Juan Pierre being out there. I would take a look at him if they can get him. I like the idea of getting a CF that can lead off and move down Jeter to the 2 hole. Jeter is the perfect #2 hitter leave him there. I know there will be ALOT of wispers about Johnny Damon. I like Damon as a hitter, he is one damn good lead off man. What I dont like is the age, his throwing arm and the amount of years he wants. If he would take a 3 year deal I would consider it (But if the Red Sox were offering that he would go back) but there is NO CHANCE that I give Damon a 5 or 6 year deal. When I see the free agent list I will give you want my projected 06 team would look like.
  2. the mvp award was voted on prior to the playoffs so the playoffs have nothing to do with the award. THAT SAID I honestly dont give a s*** if A-Rod wins or not after his proformence in this series.
  3. I wouldnt be suprised. I felt Torre managed a sup-par season/playoffs and I did find it intresting that George said after game 4 that "Its in the managers hands now". I see where your coming from.
  4. With 2 years left on Torre's deal I dont see George pulling the trigger. That said I wouldnt be suprised by anything King George does anyway.
  5. I agree, to get new faces in the ALCS. That said will anyone watch? I will but the casual fan who roots for the well known team wont watch.
  6. The White Sox will easily beat the Angels in 5 games esp with Colon out.
  7. I'm sure the people at FOX are excited. It just proves that pitching and defense at the end of the day win. Both the Yankees and Red Sox didnt have enough.
  8. Guys I know you have a rule on 2 screen names but I'm dying to change my name.
  9. I'm a member there. In fact I posted the samething.
  10. Is there anyway I can change my name? I'd like to change it to Mr. July
  11. and thats it. I changed the channel quickly because I cant take Joe Buck.
  12. wow how big was that GIDP by A-Rod?
  13. Did you expect me to sit back and take that?
  14. The stadium was shaking after Edgar Rentashortstop grounded out to 2nd.
  15. I'm sorry but that was just fitting.
  16. omg Torre went to the other choker Tom Gordon.
  17. 3 outs away from elimation.
  18. I'm one who doesnt get on the Yankees but I call it like I see it and what I'm seeing is the 2-4-5 hitters not being able to get the big hit. Its been that theme in the postseason since game 4 of last years ALCS.
  19. add Matsui to the goat list who has left 6 on base tonight. Joe Buck sounds like hes counting down the outs.
  20. The other goat flys out to RF. He gets a 3-1 room service fastball down the pipe and hes late on it.
  21. Yankees need to work Escobar. He threw 35 pitches yesterday.
  22. Double for the Giambino. Atleast he showed up.
