  1. It said AL East. Here: http://itsasecretsohush.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_itsasecretsohush_archive.html Temptation Waits... Around The Corner You'd think this injured AL East pitcher would be taking it easy recovering, resting himself for next year. But, oh no. This hurler likes to cruise the bars and clubs in his team's hometown, looking for ladies to spend the night with. His latest conquest was a lovely 16 year old who was taking her PSATs the following week. The two snuck off into the alley behind the bar (or at least tried to... they made it to the side of the building) and had a 30-minute tryst, much to the surprise of the bar's employees and patrons on the street. He was so drunk he could barely stand, but apparently he could get up enough to get the job done. Let's hope his wife never finds out!
  2. I like the move. Bowa was one of the best base runners in his time.
  3. White Sox in 7
  4. I disgaree., the O's already had one of THE best pitching coaches in baseball in Ray Miller. In fact if Ray Miller didnt have the health problems he currently is having the Yankees would have picked him up right after the O's dropped him. Their pitching didnt fall apart because of the coach they fell apart because 1. Bedard got hurt and never re-gained his steller form and 2. Ponson acted like Ponson. The other pitchers pitched like they have all their career exceot for Bruce Chen who was pitching above his head. They lose BJ Ryan. Brian Roberts wont be ready for opening day and that line up without him stinks. Its Tejada and Mora and thats it. I just dont think they are that good. Then again its October 20th not April 1st so we wont know what that team really looks like untill then.
  5. The Red Sox go without saying. I was comparing the O's to a team like the Jays because those 2 teams have battle for 3rd in the AL East while the Red Sox have been locked into that 2nd place slot for 8 stright years .
  6. I dont think the O's will dethrone us. I worry more about Toronto more then the O's. I will say watch out for Mazzone and him working with Dainel Caberea. Caberea has great stuff and if Mazzone can work with him on consistancy with his mechanics he could be very good.
  7. Yep, he can be a torn in your side. I'm going to hit the sack and see if I can catch you sleep after this EXCITING night of baseball.
  8. If I remember correctly in the Eck ab. Eck took untill he got to 2 strikes and he threw him nothing but fastballs. The hit he got was on a low slider.
  9. agreed, you cant base it on Luna and Maybry because they arent Pujols.
  10. If you listen to the Yankee games and you hear Jim Kaat he always says....."when you throw 2 or 3 or 4 breaking balls in a row each has to be better then the previous one." The first pitch Lidge threw him was a great slider......the next pitch was belt high right down the pipe. I have no problem with him throwing sliders in that situation because he has the best slider in the game and even if he throws 3 in a row he still strikes people out but its mediocre when you leave it where he left it.
  11. yep, the pressure is on the Astros now.
  12. Your right about that day off. They can go to Carpenter in game 7(Out of the pen if Morris gets into trouble). You also bring up a good point about Lidge. They have hit him well in this series. The series IMO has turned.
  13. This was a series changing HR people. With the Cards headed back to Bush down 3-2 its the same situation they were in last year.
  14. They showed Pettitte's reaction when the ball was hit and if you read his lips he said "Oh my god". lmao what a shot.
  15. Lidge hung a slider and he payed the price. That my friends is the definetion of clutch. HE CRUSHED THAT BALL!
  16. Pujols comes to the plate with the game on the line. No better way to end a series or prolong it.
  17. Eckstein is sick. How many 2 strike hits does this guy get?
  18. 1 strike away....
  19. I love seeing Biggio's face in the dugout. He has this look on his face I cant describe.
  20. true, both pens are very good. 3 outs away untill White Sox vs Astros.
  21. Your going to see ALOT of 2-1, 3-2, 3-1 ball games.
  22. I cant wait untill the last out is recorded. LETS GO STROS!
  23. Carpenter coughs up the lead 4-2 Stros. 6 outs left in the Cards season.
  24. Walkoff wins and saving a 5-2 game against the Marinaers in May are 2 different things. If your a pitcher you can pump your fist over a CG because it is something special in this day in age when pitchers never finish their games. Saves happen everyday. Act like you been there before. Once again we agree to disagree.
