Counting any team out, especially a team like the Yankees, would be a mistake (a big one); they're not out of it till that "E" appears in the standings. This is baseball, folks...anything can (and likely will) happen.

They were just talking about Wakefield on Mike and the Mad Dog (a New York sports radio show,) said he was the unsung hero of the Boston Red Sox. I would have to agree; whenever I hear about the Red Sox on ESPN or something, it's always about Ortiz, Ramirez, Schilling etc etc. Meanwhile, here's a guy who could very well have 18 - 19 wins by the end of the season on a team not known for its pitching. Good for him.

Kim is easily, one of the worst 'reporters' I've ever seen on the television. Last week when Wright got hit by a line drive, she asked him on the post game show if he was happy that the X Rays came back negative.

Tom Gordon needs a new nickname, I'm thinking the "Anti - W." It's an almost certainty that if he goes out there with the tying run anywhere near home, the starter is not going to be getting a W.
