  1. And this is what happens when we don't have Sheff in the line up... ...it will be great to have him back tomorrow.
  2. This game isn't very exciting...so the YES commentators have been talking about chewing tobacco and how bad it is for you for about an inning... I feel like I'm watching a public service announcement.
  3. #40 for A - Rod He continues to silence the Seattle fans...
  4. ...but...I like it up here. Also, I'd like to apologize if I came across as rude. It's late (damn West Coast trips) and the Yankees are losing...I'm not one happy optimist at the moment.
  5. Actually, I was just pointing out a common piece of baseball knowledge; if that's apologizing for the Yankees, oh well...
  6. So, you're saying it being the second day of road trip to the opposite side of the nation has no effect on the players? Heh...
  7. Yanks misplay a relay throw...allows another run to score. Yeah, this team definitely is playing like it's the second day of a west coast trip.
  8. No, this is "Second Day of a West Coast Trip" Chacon.
  9. Chacon's breaking balls aren't breaking tonight...but Posada keeps calling them.
  10. That's what I like to hear...A-Rod getting half the night off. He could probably use it...and definitely deserves it.

  12. I know...I always get worried when we face no-namers.
  13. It's Official. I checked the roster and his name's on there; I was a bit upset, I clicked on it and expected to see a clean shaven, neat Bellhorn (in accordance with Yankee policy)...but they're still using his Red Sox picture. :thumbdown
  14. Come on Yankees, six straight!
  15. I'm not 'thrilled;' I'm excited. As I am whenever we add a new guy to the roster; this is baseball...anything can happen.
  16. From Peter Gammons' chat on ESPN.com:
  17. I wouldn't classify 4 as a 'bazillion,' but that's the kind of hitter Giambi is. When he hits one round tripper, he's most likely going to hit another one really soon (if not in the same game, a near future AB )...
  18. That's great logic right there.... I am, simply, in awe.
  19. Actually.... C-O-R-T-I-S-O-N-E (I beleive, the same thing Schilling got before Game 7...leading to the now famous bloody sock) He was just recently given a shot of it into his elbow, which has been bugging him for a week or two.
  20. It's late August and he's made every single one of his starts (unlike most of our pitchers)...I'm going to say he's just hit that wall that most pitchers hit during this time of the season. Eh...he'll probably be back to normal form in a start or two.
  21. Exactly. He's not great, but he'll be better than Cano in certain situations. Besides, hitting hasn't been our problem this season...overworking infielders has been. Bellhorn can definitely help us in that area.
  22. (From the MLB article) Granted, we probably won't be using him as a pinch hitter....but it's nice to see him eager to come to New York. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the team reacts to this...
  23. Probably not, he's just been extremely ineffective in his last two starts.
  24. Yankees win....thaaaaaa Yankees win! Good game. Hopefully, our pitching will be more solid for the rest of the series. We have Chacon going tomorrow, I always look forward to seeing him on the mound. I'm interested in watching this post game show though, I want to see what's wrong with Moose.
  25. ...I wouldn't have faith in anyone if Big Papi was at the plate.
