Respect for Bubba Crosby: +10
They just said on the pre-game that after last night's game, Bubba visited Brian Roberts in the hospital. Great to see from a player these days.
No, not with his last 3 starts.
Thanks Aaron for all you did, though. Without you, the Red Sox are already putting together their play off rotation, I'm optimistic...about next season, and Torre is likely back home resting on all that $$$ Steinbrenner would owe him.
It will be interesting to see how Randy bounces back from that last start. I predict it will be all or nothing with him tonight (like it has been for much of the season); either he'll channel all that rage from the last start and secure a series win, or he'll be frustrated beyond beleif and make the O's look like an All Star team. Who knows? :dunno:
Yeah, I don't see Small being in the rotation after Moose comes back. If Joe sends Wang (Last start: 8.0 IP, 7 H, 2 ER) or Chacon (8.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER) to the pen over Small (5.0 IP, 10 H, 4 ER), well, there might be a rebellion in the Empire.
Whereas Jaret Wright is one of the unluckiest pitchers to ever wear pinstripes, Small is one of the luckiest. Gives up 4 runs in 5 innings and still takes a win...
Joe ...that you?
That could actually help us. A batter goes up there and expects to hit the ball out of the park against one of these 'non-intimidating' guys and ends up hitting it weakly back to the mound (Wang) or to a fielder (Small, Chacon.) Frustrated batters is a good thing.
Very true. Johnson needs to continue to be dominant these next few starts, as do all of our pitchers.
I've been saying that for weeks now! Ever since Sheff's injury...
Ruben has had maybe one or two good swings his entire time back, his defense is shaky (at best)...meanwhile Bubba is on an offensive tear (hitting .379 this month!) and there really aren't any questions about his defense.
