Proving, once again, steroids don't really work...I mean, the Yankees put Bubba "Columbus" Crosby and an injured Sheff in right field before they would let this guy out there near the end of the season.
Larry Bowa has been named the new Yankees 3rd Base Coach.

The Yankees have also received permission to speak with Tony Pena, who could possibly be replacing Roy White at first.
Just more proof that baseball business is weird. If I had been told that Cashman would be staying in New York and Theo would be leaving Boston, earlier this season, I would have laughed my head off.
Okay...
I still find it hillarious that people beleive these things about New York, one of the safer major cities in the nation (thanks to Rudy Guiliani.)
Safest Major Cities
1. Virginia Beach
2. San Jose
3. Colorado Springs
4. Austin
.....
16. New York City
.....
34. Chicago

I'm sure you, as a White Sox fan, would know more about that feeling than I, a Yankee fan, would. Or are you one of the White Sox fans who couldn't find their hats before this season? I'm assuming so.
Bad decision, in my opinion. The decision should have been left to Houston; homefield advantage has been a big part of baseball since the earliest days, no reason to change that now.
I really wanted to root for Chicago this World Series, but I just couldn't. Why? White Sox fans (most of whom suddenly and miraculously found their hats this season.) If they're this bad in New York, I can't imagine what it's like in Chicago.
