  1. I can't see how the Dodgers don't win it this year. That team is so stacked. They are even more dominant than the 2018 Red Sox were
  2. The bottom of the order was up. I could see if it was the heart of the order. That would have made more sense
  3. Ah yes I remember that. VS the Rays. Almost pulled that series off
  4. I thought they were letting the team with the best record choose their opponents? Or was this just talks
  5. Interesting move by the Mets. Bringing their closer in the 7th inning.
  6. Jay's blew a 8-1 lead and lost 10-9. Good riddance.
  7. This new post season playoff format is dumb. How can you have a series and give all home games to the same team. If you want to do that just do a winner take all game
  8. Pujols with another Dinger. He's now hit more HR this year than he has since 2016. That's kinda fishy
  9. How is Trout and Ohtani not on this list?
  10. Need a corner OF with power. Also need 2 good bullpen arm along with a a starter. If Bogey leaves then they will need another infielder. Lots of work to do. They will probably go with Casas at first. If not I'd sign Rizzo as he can probably get him for a decent price
  11. He pitched in 64 games to a 2.61 ERA. Far from turning into a pumpkin.
  12. NY will have to pony up $$.
  13. Bogey is the better overall player of the 2. Devers is not consistent enough for me for a 300M plus contract
  14. The NFL has plenty of rules of what formations you CANT do. Nice try. Even the NBA and the NHL has some as well. There has to be guidelines to follow and not just play 9 players wherever the hell you want. You'd probably be fine if the pitcher pitched from Second base
  15. That's a great point. Fenway park is the second most expensive for ticket prices. I know I certainly wouldn't be going to any games right now with the ridiculous price they have and their play. If they want to keep charging these ticket prices then they need to ensure the team is in the mix just about every year.
  16. I'm sure if there's robo umps the hitters will still complain about the strike zone. Maybe not as much but you'll still see some blow ups.
  17. Based on how the game was managed tonight they clearly don't care about winning games anymore this season.
  18. They don't as I rarely see it any of it. It's a shock now when I watch a game where a stolen base is attempted or even a hit and run for that matter. I don't even see value in managers anymore really. Like as if all the moves Cora does is on his own and not coming from the analytics team. It's really getting out of hand. I miss baseball from the early 80s to the early 2000s.
  19. I couldn't agree more. With all the analytics in the game today it's making players lazy. Back in the day the players would be ones to study their opponents to figure out where to play them. Now they have cards in their hat to tell them where to play. To me it's defeating the purpose on how someone is actually good at baseball. As if he wasn't told on what spot to be on how good of a fielder would this person be. How many balls would they actually catch. There's zero human element to the game anymore. Just grip and rip. Other sports don't use this much analytics. Now we have WAR, WRC , UZR, UZR 150 etc etc. I'm not that old but remember the day where people just really talked about Avg, OBP , HR and RBIs. Oh and SB, something that was actually relevant. Thats rarely a thing anymore
  20. It's not that easy when you have the pitchers in today's game. Can't hit the other way when you're being pitched inside to pull. T
  21. Not to be positioned on the bag but play your position. A 3rd basement should not be playing close to 2nd base. It's seriously gotten out of hand. Players just try to hit dingers
  22. Its only year 1 of the deal but certainly not a good start! Negative WAR so far.
  23. Or perhaps he's just in a bad slump. If he was that injured he wouldn't be playing. Especially considering he's producing at JBJ level since August 3rd.
  24. I do hope the pitch clock gets voted in. That alone will speed up the game a lot.
  25. Shift is garbage. I've said many times. The game was created to have 9 position on the field with an assign position. We may as well just call them ball players with no specific position. People say , well learn how to his the other way. It's not that easy with the pitching arms in the game today and the stuff they throw to go oppo. I for one approve to ban the Shift. The game is basically controlled by computers now. It's f***ing awful. Players have cards. Oh leadoff batter is on. I got to stand 5 foot to the right and then 4 foot backwards. Like wtf. Players are following orders and nothing is on the human element now. The game is turning to s*** really. We will see a lot more 300 hitters with the shift being banned which will be good for the game.
