  1. Few factors to this, one the team is struggling this year so all the moves he made that didn't pan out will be scrutinize more and secondly its because it was a head scratcher from day 1.
  2. Bradley has been a negative player since he joined the Brewers. Why would you want that on your team? His defense while still good isn't what it used to be. This ain't 2018 where you had a juggernaut offense where you can afford to have him the lineup. And not only that he can't even provide the offense that he did in 2018 so its even worse now. And to top that off the salary he's getting for this. I'd be surprised if he plays on a MLB team next year.
  3. Great to see Rich hill not make it to 5 innings again
  4. I don't like Dugo in left. He blows playing the Monster. Even in away games he stinks playing balls off of high walls.
  5. I for one and happy about the new shift rule. It's getting ridiculous really. They make positions for players for a reason as they are suppose to play there. What's the point of having a SS who doesn't play there over half the time and plays second base or a 3rd base play SS? If this is the case they wouldn't name positions and just you'd be either an IF or OF.
  6. The infield will be almost 100 MIL alone if they do that. I don't see that happening. They have other holes to fix as well.
  7. This is why I hated the Story signing. I think it will block the FO to now to extend both Bogey and Devers. Unless they can unload Story to another team
  8. He's a beast but also 30 years old. I'd be wary of a longterm contract with him
  9. Same, he's the Sox best player this year and has been since Mookies departure
  10. If they keep flopping him back forth he will probably suck at both and get injured again
  11. Probably wouldn't of happen if he was used properly all year long. Being jerked around from bullpen last year to this year starting to now back to bullpen. I hope to f*** they don't try him as a starter next year again or else that might be the end of him being good
  12. At this point I would rest Whitlock for the remainder of the year. Meaning I would only pitch him 1 inning. The last few outings he's had he got rocked the second inning he pitched. The SP experiment may have back fired and now he's getting tired for end of season
  13. Cease lost a no hitter with 2 outs in the ninth. Ouch! Thats brutal
  14. Another loss. Lead down to 4. 3 in the L column. This would be the biggest collapse in MLB history if they blow this division lead.
  15. If the Yanks flame out, lose the division and then the wild card I can see Cashman getting canned.
  16. I agree with that statement. Being in Canada I hate Toronto more than the Yankees.
  17. He as more stolen bases than mookie Betts in the last 2 seasons
  18. He's mid pack this year for defense. Most of his value will be his bat. And his bat isn't that out of this world to get a 300M + contract
  19. 210M is guaranteed. So technically that could be the max he gets. Devers wouldn't go for that as he thinks he's work 300M+ guaranteed which he's not. Julio is also having a better season than Devers and does more than hitting. He's also a great baserunner and great D. A 5 tool player. Devers is only valuable at hitting. I'm sorry but Devers is way over valued. Matt Olsen got 8/168 and Devers is quite comparable to his numbers. The only difference is 2 in age gap
  20. It wouldn't surprise me if bloom picks him up next year.
  21. The Sox weren't that great last year. Kike just happen to catch fire and a few other players and they made a run. It's like the saying the playoffs are a crap shoot. Just get in and you never know what can happen
  22. Hill is trash. He has a 0.5 WAR Schreiber who's a releiver is outperforming him. Strahm hasn't pitch enough and only has a .2 WAR. Refs doesn't play much so honestly that's irrelevant He certainly did well with Wacha and Screiber but that's it.
  23. Bloom did good up until this year. He really dropped the bomb this year. He signed Renfroe last year and what does he do? Trades him for garbage. Signs Story - I'm sorry that's a bad signing as it will probably prevent both the signings of Bogey and Devers. There's no way the Sox will extend both Bogey and Devers. If they do so the infield alone will take up close to 100 MIL of the payroll. Not gonna happen. For people who say Bogey is done and on the down fall, he is having a better season than Devers. In fact he is the Sox top producer this year in terms of WAR but yet people want to get rid of him and want to give Devers over 300M which is a bad move. Bloom did not fix the first base problem. It's been a black hole all season long. Could have picked up Rizzo. Didn't fix the bullpen issue. Next year will be what decides if he stays on or not.
  24. Devers has not showed me anything yet to give him a 300+ million contract. His career numbers are comparable to Matt Olsen who was signed for 168/8. There is 2 years of age difference. Is that 2 years gap really good to give him over 300 MIL? I'd actually argue that Olsen is a bit better. I know they don't play the same position but let's be real, Devers is more than likely to be DH in his 30's. His defense is not that good.
  25. It is and it's quite sad. With all the shifts teams are doing, players could easily get bunt singles but those are not cool so they need to swing for the fences instead.
