  1. good we dont need unloyal fans like you... What drove you away the FO actually wanting to spend money and make the team better, have fun rooting for the horrible Pirates.
  2. As a closer Paps had three pitches... He used his slider alot and it was very effective. He has also showcased a curveball that with a little work could be very good.
  3. Actually in his starts in 05, he hit 95-96 when he had to. He obviously wont do it every pitch but, if he needs to he can. As for Wallace, the whole pitching staff was better under Nipper this season I dont know if that has anything to do with Wallace's return or not.
  4. I dont know who Co Co is, but as for Coco I think last year was an aberation and he we will see a much more solid offensive year from him. I expect .300 avg between 13-16 Hrs and 30 steals.
  5. only because we didnt foresee or extreme lack of pitching, or we forgot how much we took Bronson eating innings every 5th day for granted.
  6. I guess so, but I would rather have a proven comodity out there in a Soriano or Lee. Maybe in Start Pena in center if Crisp struggles again.
  7. Willy Mo had 11 Jacks in 276 ABs, so if you double that to about 540 or so, he hits 22 HRS. Why is everyone so convinced that he Will be a 40 HR hitter, that takes patience at the plate, he does not have that.
  8. Manny is a very underated outfielder who plays a solid out there. How many times during a season do we actually talk about Manny D. Only the national guys who dont really know what they are talking about. Anyways I would take Lee or Soriano if right field anyday of the week.
  9. I bet he will retire, thanks Foulke for 04.
  10. Dodger Stadium is a much better pitchers park then Fenway, What are you even talking about.
  11. yeah a guy who drove in 100 runs, wont be any better then Nixon. Nice research.
  12. Just saw this on Espnews, wouldnt be a bad fit in RF if you ask me.
  13. lets say if there was ever a scenario where that list actually came true, we would be so screwed next year.
  14. good move, before his injury last season he was our 2nd most consistent starter. He was also our ace 2 years ago. I expect if healthy 12-15 wins with a 4.00 ERA and 200 innings
  15. I would like that, we rake Benson.
  16. you can say the redsox win the 03 ALCS if Giambi wasnt juicing
  17. i wouldnt mind Nomar at first, as long as we gad a back up plan
  18. Thats what the hope is, but there are always "ifs". Im just saying its possible.
  19. I agree, but lets say if Crisp is struggling, and Ellsbury is lighting it up there is a chance we will see him next year.
  20. I think we will see Ellsbury in the middle of next season sometime, if not before that.
  21. I hope the cards win so we can get into the offseason and have something interesting to talk about again.
  22. This is fine, if he is not the 8th inning guy anymore, Timlin was so bad in august and September is was unbearable. I wouldnt mind seeing him in a Taverez/seanez role... however since Tito is so damn Loyal he will be out there in the 8th inning which is why I wouldnt sign him.
