I would do it if I was both teams.

It will be very hipocritcal of wirtters, to one day Vote Howard over pujous, and then the next day here that Jeter wins over Ortiz. If Howard is the MVP in the NL, then Ortiz should def. be the MVP in the AL.

Yeah, I like the Job the FO seems to be doing, Im still a little confused why they are so obsessed with Lugo, but I guess he is a decent offensive player.

Boras doesnt have a lot of control, he wont let his clinet get screwed, but if D-Mat really wants to play in the majors is Boras not going to let him sign the higest contract the Sox offer? No, I think the sox can get him for a reasonanble 10-11 million a year.

Haha did you even watch games last season. If you trade Manny for Young straight up that would be a horrible trade. You cant replace Manny's production, why cant people realize the Red Sox are just better off keeping Manny and building their team around the best 3-4 combo in the last 60 years.

With Soriano gone and Lee probally to Houston, Manny is staying put, unless somebody offers a unreal deal that is to good not to accept.

I dont know who you watched when he started in 05, but he threw 93-95 consistantley and featured 4 pitches while having a 2.25 Era in three starts. Papelbon has great control, Beckett does not.... thats why Beckett got killed last year.

Randy Johnson is 43 years old, and he lost the bite on his slider, eventually great pitchers break down and suck.

As a closer Paps had three pitches... He used his slider alot and it was very effective. He has also showcased a curveball that with a little work could be very good.

Actually in his starts in 05, he hit 95-96 when he had to. He obviously wont do it every pitch but, if he needs to he can. As for Wallace, the whole pitching staff was better under Nipper this season I dont know if that has anything to do with Wallace's return or not.
