  1. Yeah gee and that really ment something in the long run, huh? How did he say "f*** you" to the Yankees by signing with Boston? Is the guy supposed to retire just because the Yankees don't want him. I mean think about it ... wouldn't you want to be on the best team? If you had your choice wouldn't you go to the place where you thought you could win a World Series? I could understand what your saying if the Yanks offered him a contract this year, but they didn't. How is he dumb? Because he's honest? Because he's on a 1st place team instead of a 2nd place team? Because he's better than any pitcher in the Yankees rotation? Because he doesn't like the Yankees anymore? Let's not talk about people being dumb when you have Gary Sheffield, Jason Giambi, and Kevin Brown on the same team. People in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks.
  2. Well, the only thing that bothers me about this whole situation is the media completely crucifying him. Whenever a player refuses to talk to the media, or refuses to give his honest opinion the media bashes him, but when a player agrees to talk and gives his 100% honest opinion ... he's still bashed. I just don't get it. Do I want Wells out there bashing MLB, and Selig? No, but atleast he's honest with us. I'll take honesty over silence, or bs any day.
  3. I really don't see what was so terrible about this start. Here's what I wanted before the game ... ... and thats pretty much what he did. Aside from the 2nd inning he pitched a very good game. Again we see his control is there(1 BB ) which is a very good sign. He was hitting 93, and while thats not outstanding, it can definatly get the job done if his other pitches are working for him. He threw 96 pitches which shows that his stamina is begins to return, or is already there. I can't find a single thing wrong with this outting aside from the 2nd inning. I'm very happy with Schill. Yanksin2010 ... you have to look at more than the overall line to decide how good of a start someone has.
  4. What an ass clown. I hate people that complain after a loss. He says he hears rumors about the Rangers stealing signs, but don't you think every pitcher that had a bad outting in Texas would have complained? You're telling me Mark is the only pitcher that has the balls to speak up when getting screwed? Just because the Rangers kick ass at home doesn't mean they're cheating. Go get your diaper changed Mark.
  5. I guess someone didn't actually read the thread.
  6. link? I don't think they'd trade youk considering ballgame probably won't be here next year.
  7. Well nice to see all the confidence in this thread so far. I'm hoping that Schilling can make some adjustments and atleast throw a strong 6 innings. I'm not expecting him to be lights out, but he has to keep us in the game.
  8. OK I'll say it again. I know he's not the first player who's had knee injuries, but you're still ignoring the steroids, and the fact that he's 41 years old. He could come back with his knees 100% but without steroids, at 41, he wont be Barry Bonds anymore. You're right a lot of your power comes from your hips, but your knees are your base and without them it's really hard to step and turn on a pitch. Sure he could still power out a pitch with his arms, but I'd say overall his power would be way down.
  9. I don't like trading Abe because we're short on lefty arms in the pen as is. He may not have done great last night, but I'm willing to stick with him for a few more outtings before I'd feel comfortable moving him. I really don't want to move any 1B besides Millar, because that would mean more PT for Millar.
  10. I guess this means Flutie is the backup ... so now I have to hate him.
  11. That'll teach ya to listen to morons.
  12. Uh if Maria is in it I predict she will look really good ... and make those hot grunting sounds. Other than that ... who cares who wins?
  13. Already have a thread about this.
  14. Breaking pitches actually damage the elbow more than they damage the shoulder. The heater does the most damage to the shoulder.
  15. I hope that statement about Petagine's youth is a joke. Anyway, yeah I can't see this deal really happening now as the Sox are short on relievers as is, and tradining Petagine, or Olerud would mean even more playing time for Millar.
  16. Bonds at 40%, with no knees, at 41 years old, without steroids, is about as scary as Kevin Millar.
  17. Theres a HUGE difference jerky. This is a Red Sox forum. If you don't like us bashing the Yankees the the door is thata way *points at the door*
  18. Of course I'm being sarcastic. His name is Ca$hman, and he works for the Yankees, so of course his name makes you thinkof money.
  19. Yeah give it a week or two.
  20. He made an amazing move today getting Bellhorn ... and after that Embre pick up ... how could the Yanks ever let him go?
  21. Oh lots of value ... didn't you hear ... Embree is their "Papi killer"... HAHAHA
  22. No I can't. ... Have you ever hit a baseball before? If so you'd know that almost all of your power comes from your legs, so I don't think your wheelchair theory pans out.
  23. First of all it came out of his own mouth that he (haha ********) "unknowingly" took the same roids as bonds. The comparisson was made because someone said he was the Sheffield of the Dodgers, or something like that.
  24. So the Yankees will claim him in what ... about another 20 minutes?
  25. If he thought he was never going to get caught then he'd be playing this year. He's had arthritis for years ... these knee injuries are nothing new.
