Why in the world would you want to trade trot? Why in the world would you want Ron Villone? Why in the world would you want to bring over a pitcher from Japan when we have people waiting in the wings? What are you planning on doing with Wells(who I believe will want to come back), Wakefield, Arroyo, Miller, and Jermi Gonzo? Didn't you notice last off season that Theo isn't going to over pay for pitchers(AJ)? Why would you want to sign a washed up old turd like Juan Gone? How do you expect us to get Wags as the closer? Why would we pay Foulke as much as we're going to be to be a set-up man? Yeah man great plan. I'm sure the Sox will be beating down your door. -

Wins and losses have little to do with the pitcher most days. I know the Sox are averaging more than 4 runs a game so technically Curt set the team up for a win. Anyway these are still rehab starts for him so I don't care if we get a W when he takes the mound right now. I only care about his performance.

Possibly, but where else are you going to use that money? To resign Damon? I deifnatly wouldn't give up Manny to keep Johnny.

How can you say the best team in the AL isn't top-notch? I like what he did today. I like the velocity getting better. I'm not worried about him at all. Whoever said he should be shutdown for the season should be bound, gagged, and thrown in the nearest river.

Are we picking out a different player each day this week to bash, or what? First Rents who completely doesn't deserve a bashing. Then Manny who also totally doesn't deserve it. And now Tek ... of all people ... TEK! Maybe we can try going more than 24 without bashing a player ... or would that be impossible?

Yeah you hit the nail on the head. Perfect example is the thread about Schillings start today. It had about 10 posts that pertained to the topic, and the next 2 pages were talk about the Yankees rotation.

Exactly, that's what people around here don't get. It's not exactly easy to get a player like Manny from another team. Most teams that would be willing to trade for Manny are not going to trade us a power hitting LF ... because that makes no sense for them. No team wants to trade their best power hitter, so if we do chose to trade Manny it's going to be almost impossible to replace his production. I still haven't heard a logical reason to trade Manny. He's lazy just doesn't cut it for me.

I don't wanna hear that BS about Manny not being able to get to catchable balls, because you have no evidence. The only evidence is the numbers, and they support my argument. Now you wanna replace him with someone older and injury prone. If you were a GM you'd have the job for about 15 minutes.

Wow, you name a guy who was hurt last year, and this year. Let's see who made more erros. Mags had 30 Errors in his 6 full seasons in the bigs. In Manny's last 6 seasons he's made 24. Oh look at that ... interesting stat isn't it? OK, maybe you got me at the plate. Lets see in the last 6 seasons Manny has averaged 37.5 HRs and 117 RBIs, while Mags has averaged 29 HRs 109 RBIs. Nope don't got me there either. Mags is only 2 years younger, and if I'm not mistaken he's got a pretty big contract as well, so I don't really see that being much of an upgrade. Maybe you should try again, and this time maybe don't suggest that we get someone who has been hurt for an entire season. BTW if you're 30 then I'm Manny Ramirez.

I don't see why we have to discuss the Yankees in every topic on this board. Lets just worry about Schilling and what he's going to do in this next outting. I really think he's going to be able to build on what he started after the 2nd inning of his last outting. I'd be happy with 6 strong innings with 2 or 3 ER. As long as he isn't struggling with his control(which he hasn't yet) then I'm not going to worry about him. His velocity has been good, not great, and the splitter has been subpar, so if he's able to improve on any of those two in his next outting it will be a huge plus and get him completely back on track.

Well for one do you really think a trainer would stick his neck out giving steroids to somoene who didn't know they were using them, and don't use the excuse it was just a cream. We've found out that steroids can come in the cream form now so I dont wanna hear any more of that. I didn't know that is why you said it was ridiculous so I'll take back my smart ass comment.

Little boy!? Big words from a 12 year old too scared to put his age in his profile. I'm 19 jerky ... and I never had a bed time. Can you name 1 other player in the league that will play a better LF than Manny and put up his numbers at the plate every year, and be clutch, and protect Papi? Find me another future HOF LFer in the league that has produced as long as Manny has and I'll admit I'm wrong. And don't use BB for that ... cause steroids ... and Sid Bream(but thats probably before your time youngin) BTW I'm not big on name calling but if you're gonna to make a jack ass statement I'm gonna call you out on it.

I'm not so sure the ChiSox are just gonna lay down for us. The Guardians have been white hot lately and the ChiSox are really slipping. They definatly need to start playing with a purpose.
