  1. Why are we having an 8 page discussion on something that's never going to happen.
  2. I wasn't laughing at Cano and Wang's ability. I was laughing about the fact that they're you're only 2 prospects above A ball besides Duncan, and considering they played last year in the bigs ... they're not prospects anymore. BTW as soon as those prospects are ready George will trade them away for another 38 year old 10 million dollar player.
  3. Well Rents is basically the prototype for 2 hitter. He has gap power. He has enough speed. He can move runners along with bunts/sacs. He may not produce as well as Loretta in that role, but I think if your just looking for the better man to fill the #2 hitter role ... it's Rents.
  4. ... and this list ...?
  5. I didn't say I was sure. I am just saying that I think that is why some players fail in Boston and NY.
  6. I think it can, but it doesn't affect every player. There are certain players that let mental blocks ruin their careers, and there are others that never let anything get to them. Playing in BOS/NYY puts more pressure on a player, and depending on who that player is, they may thrive or completely implode.
  7. Could you please provide that list. Especially considering the Yankees have no more than 2 of the top 100 prospects in baseball, on any list I can find.
  8. I'll give you your entire rotation back and take Mo away. I'd be willing to bet both my legs that the Yankees wouldn't have won the ALE.
  9. If 3/5 people in our rotation are over 40 ............. how can we be rebuilding?
  10. ... what promising young talent? Cano and Wang .... wow.
  11. Yeah congrats on finishing with the same record as us when we had 1 arm in the bullpen.
  12. It'd be much appreciated if you could find a link to substantiate that, but I'll assume it's real till I see other wise. As long as none of the bets were placed on hockey, it shouldn't have barring on Wayne's place in the HOF or hockey lure, but if Wayne did bet on hockey he needs to be thrown out of the league, and never allowed back.
  13. It happened so many times that I started calling them Canono.
  14. I figure this has been going on for years, atleast a lot longer than they've been running the team. I guess those multi-million dollar contracts just weren't enough for Rick.
  15. Players don't come up with their own arbitration figures. He gets a charge out of people making up stories that he might go to Boston or NY ...... thats news to me.
  16. OK I'd agree to that and sign Mike Anderson to the Steelers. Although I see how that would be an improvement I still doubt they'd be able to beat the steelers pats or colts ................ as long as Jake Plummer's their QB.
  17. ... no. Are they going to stop passing all together and just run? Of course not. So I dont really see his impact. He may be able to go crazy and produce what 2 backs did last year, but even then it's not an improvement.
  18. You never say never especially with a great player. (See: John Elway)
  19. ... is Ricky going to run for 5000 yards? Every RB rips it up in their system ... who cares if it's Ricky Williams. TO is a problem ... no a solution.
  20. You guys very well could be looking at playmaker FA Randle El to fill a whole at WR.
  21. After the INT by ... whatever Seahawk CB it was ... Seattle had every oppertunity to win that game. Don't blame officials for 2 missed FGs and the Seahawks allowing ... the big 3rd and long pass ... willie's 75 yard run ... and El's big pass. BTW ... after all the scandel after the Steelers/Colts attempting screwing do you really think the NFL would risk trying to screw another team that soon? I dont think so. Lastly, Steeler Nation is already the biggest fanbase in football. Us winning the SB does not help the league at all. On the other hand Seattle winning a SB would make for tons of new Seahawk fans, which would help the NFL. If the NFL is looking out for it's best interests, then they're trying to screw the Steelers out of the SB ... not the Seahawks.
  22. Whoever wins the AFC in the next few years is going to have a walk to the SB, but getting there is going to be the hard part. IMO it's going to be a battle between the Pats, Steelers, and Colts for the right to go to the Super Bowl over the next few years.
  23. What is this soc-cer you speak of?
  24. Theres a big difference between wanting to stay in the game too long, and never wanting to be in the game in the first place.
  25. Like I said a few days ago let them talk all they want. All it does is cause problems for the Yankees.
