    I can't believe I missed that. If you appreciate someone who thinks he's better than everyone, hates white people, hate his teammates, and couldn't come through in the clutch if his life depended on it, then I have a warm turd that could use some appreciating.

    Anyone who boos Pedro should be thrown out of Fenway. Pedro will always be a legend in Red Sox Nation, and unless he takes a s*** on the mound theres no way he should ever be booed at Fenway.

    7 of Beckett's injuries were blisters, caused by having to pitch in 90 degree heat in florida. Also Beckett has thrown more innings every year, while Pavano goes up and down.

    Well for anyone trying to take this tourney serious it matters. If anyone can go play for anyone then it's not really the WBC ... its just the pre-spring training tournement.

    I think thats his problem, and thats why he brought up Nomar as well. Both were born in America, and shouldn't be allowed to play for anyone but America. Same goes for everyone else IMO.

    Well it's not that you use 2 pitchers. It's that you have the use up your bullpen. But when you have a pitcher like Livan Hernandez who can eat innings it allows you to rest your bullpen. I agree with you that I'd rather have a pitcher with a lower ERA who pitched less innings, but that is the reasoning behind the "innings eater" statement.

    Bonds can break all the records he wants. Last season I was totally against him getting the record, but I don't care anymore. Bonds will always been remembered as the guy who used steroids to get the most HRse ever ... not the guy who hit the most HRs ever. Everyone in the media hates Barry Bonds, everyone in the clubhouse hates Barry Bonds, and just about every fan (unless they're blind) hates Barry Bonds. Bonds is a choke artist, a douche bag, and most importantly ... a CHEATER. I know someone got a little bent out of shape when there was a death wish in this thread, but ... I hope Barry Bonds dies a slow painful death.

    So you're saying you'd rather have Weaver because he's going to throw 30 more innings? I'd take Washburns 170 innings with a 3.20 ERA over Weavers 200 innings with a 4.40 ERA any day of the week.

    Just because Washburn finished 8-8 last year he did make more than a whole point improvement over his last 2 seasons ERA '03 - 4.26 '04 - 4.59 '05 - 3.20
