I remember a lot of people saying no big names would play in the game. Then all of the sudden every big name signed up ... now slowly they're all pulling out. For anyone who is pulling out for a reason other than injury, or your MLB team not wanting you to play, was in it from the begining because it's a good PR move. Now it looks like they wanted to go ... but something came up ... and now they can't. But people will still remember that they were going to go ... it doesn't even matter that they're not going.
It's sad but most players just don't give a damn about baseball, and only play because they can get rich doing it. Much like Curtis Martin in football who used the football to get him into college, then to the NFL, and openly admits he doesn't like playing, and doesn't like football.
