  1. Yeah sorry that falls under the rip off category, not bought.
  2. Every position in your field besides SS, 2B, and Catcher are filled by players bought by the Yankees. Also your top 2 pitchers. Care to take that comment back?
  3. And the thing they don't understand is that their homegrown guys were the main reasons they had their great run in the 90's. Somewhere along the way George decided that it was more important to gather big names (Arod, Sheffield, Giambi, Matsui, Randy Johnson, Mike Mussina, etc.) than win championships.
  4. ... he plays 2nd base. Arm strength is not something you look at for a 2B. His range is not well below average and it's hardly lower than at other points in his career. Please name ... 15-20 2Bs with better range to prove your point.
  5. Those kind of pitchers are not on the market unless they are having a seriously bad year. If we could get a #2 guy, who is pitching like a #2 guy this year, then I'd consider it, but I still don't think I'd make the move. Stick to the plan. Let Dustin start next year.
  6. How do you know it wont effect team chemistry. How many times have you been on a first place MLB club that loses an important player on your team to a trade? Getting on base and producing on the field has NOTHING to do with team chemistry AT ALL. Great gameplan ... lets take a .304 hitter out of the #2 hole and slide in a wonderful .269 average. Then lets take a .297 hitter and move him from the leadoff spot ... to 8. .... Your planning makes A LOT of sense.
  7. Yeah that .991 FPCT is so average.
  8. Why is everyone hell bent on breaking up the best defense in baseball? It seems like everyone on this board besides me is up for trading Lowell and Loretta.
  9. I wouldn't be too worried about Dotel.
  10. Who's hitting #2 if we trade Loretta? And then who is taking that spot in the lineup? Yes the addition to the rotation will definatly help, but if you don't think shaking the entire lineup up, and then putting a new player in our infield is going to mess with chemistry then I must be the crazy one. I would rather have the best defense in baseball, and a very good #2 hitter, than another pticher, a worse defense, and no #2 hitter. Yes we do have a hole at the #5 spot in our rotation, but filling a hole by creating another one doesn't help the team. The way I see it we've already made it almost 2/3rds of the way through the season having to forefit every 5th day and yet we're still in 1st place. Lets, just pretend that we trade Loretta and still make the playoffs. What is going to help us win the World Series again ... a veteran 2B with a good bat, or a 5th starter who will never touch a baseball in the playoffs?
  11. I strongly doubt everyone is talking about a trade for Bryan Corey.
  12. I still don't agree. If we're trading Loretta now, and bringing Dustin up we can kiss the playoffs goodbye IMO, no matter what we get in return. Trading Loretta means that not only do we lose a solid glove at 2B, but we're also left without a #2 hitter. I don't understand talking about Loretta's range as it was never much better than it is right now. If you were expecting a guy that was going to range for balls on the other side of 2B then you obviously had no idea who Mark Loretta is/was. I don't see us winning this division if we're going to start over at 2B and in the #2 hole more than half way through the season. There is too much chemistry in our IF to break up, and doing so would be team suicide.
  13. Anyone who thinking Abreu is going to win the divison for The Yankees is a f***ing moron.
  14. Their spending is the reason they're on a downward spiral, if they admitt it or not. They overpay for aging players, and then are stuck with them when they can no longer produce. Let them keep spending 200 million a season, and keep losing.
  15. Well, not only that. No matter what the Yankees did, I don't see a reason to break up the most consistant defense in the history of the sport. Doesn't anyone value defense?
  16. You do understand that the Yankees have no salary cap right? Money doesn't matter at all to the Yankees.
  17. if we trade Loretta I don't believe I'd be able to explain my anger through a post.
  18. THANK GOD!!!!!!
  19. Oh wow ... you really think theres gonna be a big trade before the trade deadline ... I'm shocked ...
  20. Lugo averages about 20 errors a season ... while Mark is around 5.
  21. Right but I didn't say anything about offense. Lugo is a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE downgrade in defense.
  22. Yeah lets take our offense from great to s*****, and add an average reliever ... LETS DO IT!
  23. ... when did the Phillies become the Pirates?
  24. Why would we want one of the best pitchers in the game? Didn't you see him last month ... I mean .... pfffffft /sarcasm You truely are a moron.
  25. Linda Cohn has had more facelifts than I have posts ... ewwwwwwwww
