  1. I don't think we'd have the next best 3-4-5 ... I think we'd have the best. The most feared hitter in the game, followed by one of the best hitters in the game, followed by one of the best young power hitters in the game ... how can you beat that? I'd take the 3 of them over the ChiSox Trio any day of the week.
  2. I'd gladly cut off both my legs to get Roy Oswalt. I don't think I'd cut anything off to get Clemens, but I'm not against getting him depending on what we have to give up.
  3. You can. it's called driving up their price. You make them way overpay for him. Then when proven MLB players come up as FA they're going to request a lot more money from the Yankees based on what they paid an unproven kid.
  4. I just said that what you think is "dicking around" is actually trying to get the best trade. It's hardly like Theo is sitting there thinking "eh hey I got another day to kill ... I'll just keep f***ing around with this trade that will never work" I'm not saying that we don't need to make a move ... I'm just saying that the last thing Theo is doing right now is "dicking around"
  5. Well "dicking around" with a 3 or 4 team trade is going to bring us the players we need. Would you'd rather trade players for less value than they're worth just to get something done?
  6. Could be worse ... Damon could have been throwing it.
  7. OK whatever jesus I was trying to give your team a compliment on the trade He's an upgrade ... period. There better?
  8. Well he will be eventually if things go well for Matsui.
  9. Probably the last time Manny or Papi did it ... which says a lot.
  10. No it's not even that I dont like BP. I have no problem with their site, but I will believe ESPN.com, MLB.com, and Stats Inc. before I'll believe BP.
  11. Definatly I agree. There's no question he's an upgrade over Melky Cabrera.
  12. Yes I know it's a baseball information website ... much like the 50 million others currently on the internet.
  13. Really tell me what makes it any different than the 50 million other internet baseball websites. Because the guy who runs it has been on ESPN a few times? Oh Wow. There are millions of sites posting completely different information, and all have a claim to credibility, but none truely have it. Like I said before I'll trust Stats Inc. about stats long before I'll trust a website. And I'll trust official stats ... not a number that comes from a formula some random "baseball expert" made up.
  14. I think I'll go ahead and trust Stats Inc. Something about a random internet site just doesn't get my confidence.
  15. Yeah and who would want a 2B that catches everything hit to him? Forget that ... I'd rather have a guy who can get his glove on balls up the middle.
  16. And ORS said his range was well below average.
  17. Bobby Abreu has never faced pressure in his entire career. The biggest pressure situation he's ever been in was the HR Derby. While I don't see him being that bad ... I could without question see him struggling.
  18. OK did I claim that you didn't have homegrown talent, or did I say every starter you have besides at 2B, SS, and C were bought, or traded for? You did not respond to my post at all.
  19. Schilling had given up just 1 HR at the Fens before tonight.
  20. Range factor has more to do wtih how many balls are hit at you, not how much range you have. They use Zone Rating to get the number you want. He ranks 16th in Zone Rating ... right in the middle. ZR - Zone Rating - The percentage of balls fielded by a player in his typical defensive "zone," as measured by STATS, Inc.
  21. Yeah we all know when someone says your name on ESPN you go into a slump. That's proven. And it's not like he did the exact same thing last year, or anything ...
  22. Please explain how it isn't true? Giambi, Arod, Sheffield, Matsui, Damon, RJ, and Moose. Tell me which doesn't fit under the bought or ripped off umbrella?
  23. I love when Yankee fans do this. See there's a huge difference here. We get players like David Ortiz, who are mediocre, and turn them into superstars. Or we get players like Mike Lowell and they revive their careers. We rarely go out and get the huge name superstar players as the yankees do ... (ARod, Giambi, Sheffield, Matsui, RJ, Mussina, etc.).
