  1. wow, strong inning my Manny. great outing by Curt. the bats were on fire tonight. the perfect red sox victory this evening
  2. let Hanley play 10 years then see if he's had the kind of career Edgar has had
  3. papi is SICK lately. hes absolutely killing it
  4. its just so dissapointing...
  5. if Manny is gonna be traded, we need a big bat to come to the Sox in that deal. Obviously it won't be a bat on the caliber of Manny but if it's done, we also need a big bat to replace another position, like first base therefore the only way I'd be happy with a Manny trade is if we manage to get a guy like Konerko as well
  6. and I just wanted to vent about how pissed off that every media outlet is making it seem like Gabe Kapler injured himself during a regular home run trot. The guy was running hard thinking the liner was gonna go off the wall rather than out of the park. The jackass commentator on TSN, who was showing the game here in Canada, said it was something that would wind up on a blooper reel.
  7. would charges against the cop bring Victoria back to life? Nope, so what's the point? The guy has to live with this for the rest of his life and I think that's enough punishment
  8. yet somehow the threads that praise Millar have far less posts than the ones bashing him did. the way I see it, you don't have the right to criticize the guy when he's playing bad if you aren't gonna praise him when he's playing well
  9. I was a fan of Payton's ability but I wouldn't applaud him for the simple fact that he embarassed his manager as his way to get out of town. I understand his frustration and all but I just don't respect the way he went about doing it
  10. enough with the f***ing Millar bashing. jesus christ, everything this guy does gets magnified except for the good things. how about pointing out the fact that he has the highest batting average on the team this month?
  11. first off, both Olerud and Millar have been hot lately and guess what, yea Millar went 1-4 but he's one of 3 f***ing red sox that actually got a hit today and who's to say Olerud would have even done any better? in the one glimpse we got of him today, he struck out to end the game. and please try to understand that Olerud cannot play every day, the guy is old and coming off off-season surgery as far as Ortiz goes, he had a sore back today, he didn't have a sore back tomorrow against the Blue Jays. if Ortiz takes a big whiff and tears something in his back, how would you have reacted to Tito then? Youd be saying Ortiz shouldve had the day off you're free to second-guess Tito all you want but fact of the matter is, RJ dominated them and by the time Mo came out, it was too little too late
  12. pffft, just imagine if Mo had actually gotten those 3 outs in game 4. yankee fans would still be riding us like theres no tomorrow wanna talk about overkill? the thousands of mentions of aaron f***ing boone after 2003. thats overkill how sweet it would be for boone to somehow be responsible for clinching the wild card for the Guardians provided we dont blow the division
  13. I see the wound is still deep...
  14. the rivalry isn't diminished at all, it's simply been redefined. as historic as the sox comeback was in the ALCS last year, it simply is another chapter, although a significant one, in the entire history of the rivalry between the two teams it always has been a rivalry simply because these two teams are on a higher level than any other team in baseball. it used to be defined by the yankees beating up on the sox every year and crushing their hopes. now things are different, much different. clearly, this guy doesnt like where the rivalry is now but I think the majority of yankee, red sox and baseball fans in general like where it is now and all you need to do is check out a few threads here and see how many TV cameras are at Yankee Stadium this weekend
  15. WOW, I just saw what big Schill did today. VERY impressed and all of a sudden, im very optimistic about this rotation
  16. nah, my girlfriend hasn't seen any of em either. not even the lord of the rings movies
  17. I have faith in Theo, no matter what he chooses to do
  18. Mark is just like Anakin Skywalker, turning completely to the dark side and all.....well except for the fact that he sucks
  19. does Sveum somehow think it's less than 90 feet from 3rd to home only at Yankee Stadium? Goddamnit, EVERYONE could tell Tek wouldn't have made it
  20. my god, I never thought id see our starting pitching come together like this. also very happy to see bronson settle down after a rocky 1st
  21. yep, I picked up the DVD last week and I just finished Johnny Damon's "Idiot" book which I got for my birthday. aside from that, the DVD pack with the entire ALCS and World Series on it is what really put a dent in my wallet
  22. hell, im surprised we've had 55 games when our starters have gone at least 7
  23. can't say enough about the great things Wakey's done on and off the field
  24. yea....f***ing B-Jays...
