    why is everyone up in arms about Millar's lack of home runs? The run-support has been awesome this season. as long as Manny and Papi are knocking them out, which they are, that's all I care about

    I'd just like to point out that I like the job Gonzalez did tonight. He came in in a tough situation and got out of it and gave us a decent 2 2/3 innings

    Cruz wasn't even doing horribly, I mean s***, the guy only had 12 at-bats with the team but it does look like Mueller might be out for at least the next little while if they actually went as far as DFAing a guy to get Youk back up

    do the red sox win the world series last year if team morale wasn't so good? I seriously have my doubts. champions have one thing in common, they don't just play for themselves, they play for their teammates

    I never said he wasn't a better player which is why I said the following: "If you're general manager for Team X, then yea, maybe Payton is better talent wise but as far as the Boston Red Sox go, I'd rather have Kapler" But you're talking as if team morale and mood in the clubhouse means absolutely nothing.

    ok relax, the playoff roster would have Mueller instead of Cora, Nixon instead of Kapler and Millar/Olerud instead of Petagine and besides, as if the subs are doing so horribly too. who cares about name value, it's all about production

    how about factoring what each guy does for morale? Kapler is a guy the entire team likes, is great for morale, was along for the ride last year and is actually a pretty solid player Jay Payton did nothing but bitch about his playing time since a few weeks into the season and even went as far as confronting Francona in front of the entire team and the public in the dugout If you're general manager for Team X, then yea, maybe Payton is better talent wise but as far as the Boston Red Sox go, I'd rather have Kapler and quite frankly, I'm not sure why you had to bring name-calling into this, I clearly have a valid point and factoring in what a guy was batting in a country on the other side of the planet in a situation he was very unhappy in is a pretty lame argument in itself
