No doubt, both the Red Sox and Yankees had very disappointing seasons.
The Red Sox had a great start and through a combination of injuries, cold bats and piss-poor pitching, collapsed in the second half finishing in double-digit games behind the Yankees.
The Yankees rolled pretty much the entire season overcoming injuries but having the luxury of being able to get a Bobby Abreu as an injury replacement to their outfield. But they took arguably the best hitting lineup in baseball history, scored 14 runs in 4 games and endured another playoff flameout has given rise to criticism from all sides that hasn't been seen in awhile (perhaps since the 2004 Yankees).
So the question is, is it easier to be a Red Sox or a Yankees fan right now?
