  1. I just purchased my 2007 MLB.tv package so im super psyched
  2. all im saying is its the perfect climate for the Sox to dump Clement on some other team cause I think this past off-season's contracts prove how desperate teams are for pitching
  3. he's never been the same since getting drilled in the head but if he can get a couple of good outings, he might be useful for us or at least another team cause these days, his salary doesn't look so bad
  4. He was a vital part of the '04 team and for that alone, he deserves nothing but our respect. Anything else that happened is very secondary
  5. he looks like Stone Cold Steve Austin. that things no good
  6. the only upside he had was his age but he really wasn't performing well at all...
  7. damn, looking like Phil Mickelson a bit
  8. I like that the red cap with the blue B is the official spring training cap considering I already own one
  9. it's nice but to me, picking the best rotation in baseball right now is like Vegas calling the Chargers the favorite for next season
  10. yea, this is the time of year to be optimistic about the upcoming season. f*** pessimism right now please
  11. if Schill was still planning on retiring after this year, I'd be more inclined to believe that he was really out of shape but the man is playing for a new contract. Not to mention he is one of the most competitive guys out there, I call ******** on this report
  12. well, everyone talked about how deep our rotation was at this time last year too and look where we ended up by August
  13. Happy Truck Day everyone! Today marks the beginning of my brain starting to shift from hot stove stuff to the actual season
  14. 15-8, 3.80 ERA seems about right to me. an ERA in the low 3s is pretty damn tough in AL ball
  15. nice to know they're still willing to up the payroll by another $10 mil or so if they balk at making a trade deadline deal again
  16. you make good points. if anything, im excited to see how all these changes work out
  17. the team just seems like a bunch of random parts thrown together. I could be wrong but I have more skepticism than most about this upcoming year
  18. I dont know, I think im more skeptical about all this Helton stuff than most here. just seems to me like the '07 Sox arent gonna have an identity.
  19. Game 7 of the 03 ALCS remains my lowest point as a sports fan. coming close was game 3 of the 04 ALCS
  20. the 51 mil posting fee is a wash considering the revenue streams the signing opened up so therefore 52 mil over 6 years makes it a great investment considering today's market
  21. Nixon deserves an ovation upon his return that's on a completely different level from anyone who has returned to Fenway in recent years
  22. you can't really look at stats in trying to determine how successful this guy would be as a closer. being a closer is a completely different mindset and routine than being a starter, which he's been his entire career
  23. Very easy guy to root for in his post-Sox career. I wish him all the best, a true professional all the way
  24. if I recall, it ends a bit after Theo rejoins the team during the 05-06 off-season
  25. I read it. Probably the book to get if you're a newer fan and you wanna catch up on all the behind the scenes stuff since the sale of the club.
