  1. theyve also been completely annihilated by injuries. Claude Julien has done a tremendous job coaching that team
  2. what a stupid story, Bartman reacted the way 98% of fans in his position would've reacted. he wasn't even the only fan to reach for the ball, it just happened to hit his hand
  3. yea the lineup sucks but they're still an organization that preaches plate discipline and for a pitcher with control issues like Dice-K has, no walks is encouraging
  4. ugh, first 6:05am on the other side of the world and then 10:05pm. I long for a 7:05pm at Fenway like you wouldnt believe
  5. who knows, Oki wasn't supposed to be anything special either
  6. I mean, obviously the Habs aren't gonna be 100% French Canadian anymore since back in the day, they had first dibs on every French Canadian coming into the NHL and if that was still the case today, they'd be loaded with French Canadians
  7. Steve Begin, Francis Bouillon, Mathieu Dandenault, Guillaume Latendresse, Maxim Lapierre, Patrice Brisebois
  8. I'd say there are question marks on the Yankees side for offense. Jeter, Damon, Giambi, Abreu and Matsui are all another year older and A-Rod and Posada aren't in contract years anymore
  9. I just dont like the rotation that much without Schilling so id probably pick the Yankees too
  10. I'd probably take Aardsma but I like everything I've seen from Corey
  11. There are a good contingent of Canadiens fans who are intelligent but I work for the sports radio station here in Montreal and there are more than our fair share of idiot callers so when those idiots go to games....and get liquored up....they become even more idiotic
  12. lol, two games in Japan and already two players are being sent down the river
  13. I agree. When I went there were a few Habs fans who got too liquored up and picked a fight with security after the game. Personally, I just go to support my team on the road, not to taunt the fans who are there to cheer their hometown team. I cheered without taunting fans when the Habs scored and I kept my mouth shut and expected the same treatment from the B's fans when they scored and I got that respect.
  14. Yep, I'm from Montreal born and raised and am a die-hard Habs fan. I was actually one of the Habs fans who infiltrated the Banknorth Garden last year. Good times
  15. I blame Lemmywinks
  16. hehehehehe, I LOVE when we do that
  17. ah well, a split isn't that bad. at least we can get the f*** out of Japan now
  18. Dice-K bent but didn't break but I was disappointed that it looked like the same Dice-K from last season. I'm expecting a significant jump in his effectiveness this season
  19. I guess it can be expected with it being the first game of the year on the other side of the world
  20. out of curiosity, what was Papelbon hitting on the gun?
  21. they intentionally walk Lowell to get to Brandon "MVP" Moss?! wow....Geren won't last very long
  22. and the endless brigade of former Sox from the A's pen continues...
  23. and I love the concept of a Manny contract year
  24. so if the season ended today, Brandon Moss would be the MVP
