He's holding to the offer of Crisp, Lester, Masterson and Lowrie and keeping Ellsbury as his ace in the hole. If the Yankees up their offer, Theo will probably sub Crisp for Ellsbury
it is a bit sketchy that one week teams are negotiating for a player until the wee hours of the morning and then all of a sudden, no developments at all for a few days
honestly, I'm surprised we haven't seen 5-10 guys come out and say they used in the past few days. most who are named to that report must know they're on it and I'd figure most would try and protect their image as much as possible by being more forthcoming about it
saying Coco will never repeat what he did this past season is saying he was lucky. I don't see what's lucky about having the range he does, his ability to read a flyball and his willingness to dive for a ball. He is what he is and that is an outstanding defensive centerfielder. His arm strength is crap and for that reason alone is why I don't think he deserved the gold glove but that's another discussion
