  1. hhahaha, cowboy up just bucknered it
  2. I dont know if anyone heard but on tonight's MASN telecast, Gary Thorne is gonna announce that Jeter actually tagged out Dave Roberts in Game 4 of the '04 ALCS
  3. the best I'm hoping for from Hansen is that he becomes that lights out righty setup man that we've been looking for
  4. seriously, arguably the best reliever in the game currently holds the Red Sox closer spot. am I missing something with this Hansen pom-pom waving?
  5. Between the whole Joba drama a few weeks ago and the jerking around of Kennedy, it just seems to me like the Yankees are really struggling to find that balance between rebuilding, which Cashman is advocating, and trying to win now, which the Steinbrenners, namely Hank, are advocating
  6. most of the Yankees' moves this year really reek of a lot of management tug-of-war going on
  7. Boston Red Sox (24-17) vs. Baltimore Orioles (19-19) Where: Camden Yards (aka Fenway South), Balimore, Maryland When: May 13, 2008 at 7:05 PM TV: MASN, NESN Pitching Matchup: Josh Beckett (4-2, 3.70 ERA) vs. Jeremy Guthrie (1-3, 4.32 ERA) Game Preview: - Yahoo! Sports
  8. the only way I see Detroit losing for the rest of the playoffs is if Malkin and/or Crosby turn in one remarkable performance in the finals to steal a game
  9. its gonna be interesting to see whether this loyalty to Timlin pays off in the end
  10. Clay Buchholz puts his pants on one leg at a time, just like everyone else. Except once they're on, he pitches scoreless innings http://www.buddytv.com/articles/Image/saturday-night-live/Walken-snl.jpg Clay Buchholz is the cock of the walk, baby
  11. Morgan: "Speaking of Vizquel, when is he coming back?" Miller: "He came back yesterday" Morgan: "Oh, he did?!" *******...
  12. good job Covelli, now complete the comeback
  13. 1-0 on a homer by Youk he is seriously playing out of his f***ing mind right now
  14. I guess that's the end of the line for Edmonds
  15. ummm, he's seeing the ball well?
  16. Beckett is such a lovely pitcher
  17. wow, Verlander is atrocious
  18. he needs to be a professional and keep repeating "I need to be better" in so many words until the media stops asking why he sucks defensively and then be thankful that his sorry ass isn't good enough to warrant being the first person the media goes to in the clubhouse after every game if he had his way, the media would ask him his thoughts on getting the game winning "hit" in the Mother's Day Miracle over and over and over
  19. honestly, I've seen the media be mainly positive towards the team during this run of 2 championships in 4 years and in terms of Lugo, he largely got a free pass for his atrocious first half offensively last year simply because the team got off to such a hot start but 10 errors in 33 games or whatever it is, and two 3-error games when the season isn't even a quarter over deserves to be questioned
  20. When asked about what's up with all his errors this season, Julio Lugo apparently thought he plays in a city where ballplayers aren't held accountable for playing like s*** and had this outburst: Julio Lugo lets it go - Steve Buckley, Boston Herald
  21. I wonder what's up with Verlander this year...
  22. I was surprised when I saw we lost 10-9 and Paps got the loss but a little less surprised when I actually saw the highlights and saw the amount of bad luck he got so meh, whatever
