  1. Buchholz Chamberlain Hughes Lester Kennedy Delcarmen Hansen jury is still out on Lester since, you know, he just overcame cancer and stuff...
  2. he was rumored to be signing with Toronto so I'm kinda glad he won't be in the division
  3. thank god he's gone...
  4. Based on what I saw, I don't want to see that fat turd with his pinky-up curveball on a Fenway mound ever again
  5. get him the f*** out of here, pronto
  6. so be it... The Sox seem to do well when they hold a hard line on decisions rather than blow away the Twins with an offer they can't refuse
  7. I was wondering why Tampa would make all sorts of trades to give themselves pitching....and then trade their ace
  8. this sounds completely bogus
  9. so it's Will Carroll and Jon Heyman vs. Peter Gammons
  10. he just might be irreplaceable. catching is becoming a dying art and Tek brings so much more to the table besides his bat in terms of defensive ability and pitch calling, as evidenced by what happened after he went down towards the end of 2006
  11. this is the kind of guy where you say you don't want to extend him, but if he left, you'd miss him big time
  12. Remember, Eric Gagne originally said he wouldn't waive his no-trade clause to go to Boston either. The Angels are already a contender who have improved this off-season and if they can give Santana the money he wants, I don't see why he wouldn't wanna go there.
  13. any deal the Twins reach would be dependent on that team's ability to negotiate an extension with Santana so the idea of waving the no-trade clause would only present itself if and when an agreement on an extension would be reached. So that being said, I don't see why the Twins should only negotiate with the Yankees and Red Sox
  14. Reports state the Angels offer center around Jered Weaver
  15. the difference with the Dye trade is that the Red Sox weren't willing to give away the chips necessary to get Dye. This time, it looks like both sides have agreed on the chips Minnesota would get, now its about which package they'd prefer
  16. Rotoworld
  17. oh good God let this be true...
  18. I guess this just adds to the Johnny Damon comparisons
  19. so it sounds like they're deciding between Coco/Lester vs. Ellsbury
  20. I'd rather have the hot shot pitching prospect than the hot spot outfield prospect but within the context of the deal, I think Ellsbury is probably more valuable to the Twins.....but I understand that isn't the debate here
  21. interesting to finally see the Rays sacrificing some offense for some pitching
