    I love Youk and I understand how he is a big part of what makes the Sox lineup tick but it's a tough argument to put him in the top 20 position players overall, no matter how much emphasis you put on defense.

    What the hell's the point of trying to re-create history had Schilling gone to the Yankees instead? In that case, I can say that if Schilling didn't go to the Sox then Theo would've gone out and gotten another #2 starter who probably wouldn't have s*** the bed in Game 2 like Schilling did. And if Schilling pitched either Game 1 or Game 2 for you guys, then he probably doesn't even recreate the outstanding starts Mussina and Lieber had

    the problem with trying to trade Coco is that there isn't a huge demand for starting centerfielders right now. my thinking is that the Sox are waiting for a CF to get injured somewhere forcing a team to overpay for Coco we'll see though. right now, the platoon isn't working out too badly
