  1. wtf u swinging at, ells?
  2. Daniel Bard should be an all-star
  3. we have bums out there pitching. this is pathetic.
  4. Is Eric Karros high?
  5. pitchers generally do not go more than one inning, even if it's 1-2-3
  6. Reddick is putting together quite a case for the starting RF job.
  7. Never knew the lead singer of STP was pitchign in the major leagues now
  8. Halfway through the season the OP's feeling were right. Beckett has been our best pitcher. Bard has also been pretty dominant. Lester has been solid, but not up to snuff. Buchholz was improving until he got hurt.
  9. I think that ball is still going up
  10. That ball was hit a country mile.
  11. Happ looks like deer in the headlights
  12. Nice start here. Come on Papi
  13. That is rather funny.
  14. Wrong. He looked actually much more impressive out of the gate in the SD game. He made one bad pitch and then that's the story. First five innings he maybe had 1 jam to get out of, other than that he was having guys swing and miss, and cruising. The Pittsburgh game was a few more jams, but he pitched solid enough to battle through. Overall his numbers were better in Pittsburgh, but I think he had better command in the SD game.
  15. You can tell Josh Reddick is hungry out there. Why not start him over Drew when CC gets back? I'll take a young guy hitting almost .400 over a over the hill, overpaid and over stoic vertan who is hitting .220 anyday.
  16. Now that Bruins season is over, this team will start getting the full attention in this town that they deserve.
  17. There's a baseball game on tonight?
  18. You guys will love this one: Courtesy of Gordon Edes:
  19. Yep... haha. Basically no one on earth ever has any idea where a knuckleball will go. Although apparently less wind, higher humidity and higher barometric pressure induce more movement.
  20. Nice little article here: http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2009/5/5/866210/weather-effects-on-the-knuckleball
  21. Any chance Sox would put Crawford a spot ahead of Ortiz? I know it's kind of ridiculous to move Ortiz or Youkilis down in the order with the way they are hitting right now. But teams wouldn't put such an exaggerated shift on Ortiz if the threat of Crawford was on first or second.
