  1. Not Timlin's fault that the runner that scored was on base because Millar dropped the ball. He was probably distracted by the smell of fryinig chicken.
  2. Why can't we keep Julio "I am the human chihuahua" Lugo off the bases tonight.
  3. I'm going tomorrow
  4. The broadcast is on PAX here in FL, and the "homer" announcer said that the call at first for Johnny Gomes could have gone either way, but "you should get those calls when you are the home team". WTF?
  5. Yeah, the "Steak Bomb Incident"
  6. Someone must have left a Double Whopper (with cheese) on second.......'cause Papi was a'runnin'.
  7. He was running away from the plate to catch the ball, thus no momentum to throw the runner out......yeah it was lazy, but there was no chance (unless Boomer went and tripped the bastard).
  8. Wells must think that for the game to be fair the D-Rays gotta have the leadoff hitter on 2nd.
  9. Somebody on the Ray's needs to give Waichter a map, he can't find the strikezone. EDIT: He pulled his head out of his ass and found it.
  10. Yeah, and his belt does like nothing for the highlights in his hair. And those shoes....
  11. Tomato, tomahto.......we're the Champs until someone else is.
  12. 13 pitch K, sweet and sour.
  13. So then EVERYBODY holds up one base short to protect their wallet. If you instill that kind of fear of a mistake, then everyone will play very conservatively. I prefer aggressiveness on the basepaths. Yeah Millar goofed, but they were down and he was trying to get into scoring postion. He's not Kreskin, therefore he didn't know Tek would hit one out.
  14. That's great news! The Sox have been suffering in the all important "Hairstyle" statistical category. Do you think his 'do is ready to be called up now? Will his 'do get along well with Manny's dreads and Johnny's locks?
  15. Booing him is unacceptable. Considering possible alternatives to him that may improve the team on a message board is acceptable. Cheer for who you have on your team, but don't do it with blinders on.
  16. Calling a thread on this subject retarded is, quite frankly, retarded. Marion Jones disappeared from the track and field world after Balco, and her return hasn't been stellar. If, all of a sudden, she were to start dominating again, the skeptics would start their rants. Skepticism is normal, and Giambi's situation is one where it is justified. Personally, I don't think he's back on the juice. Personally, I don't think it would matter if he was. The guy is a monster; steroids aren't going to help him swing that 40 ounce toothpick any faster. With his size, once he started hitting the center of the ball with the fat part of the bat again (it was always just a matter of time), the HR's started coming.
  17. I didn't feel like digging up the specifics. Should have used a more concise "free-agency/trade market". I just meant to point out that they weren't home grown talent.
  18. I'm not upset, I'm cool as a cucumber with you I did get your sarcasm, just not that you were joking. Sarcasm without a joking nature tends to resemble mocking. I retract the barb I sent your way.
  19. Angels hit into another rally killing DP in the 8th...two innings in a row that they have runners on 1st and 2nd with one out.
  20. I can see it now......in December Hawk will be seen roaming the streets of Chicago mumbling, "We had better pitching, better defense, better speed......"
  21. If you are going to counter my ideas with sarcasm, at least give me an emoticon to signifiy it. It sounded like you really thought George was the only one capable of calling the shots.
  22. A split where they didn't see our best two starters. (I'm counting Schill because he's close to a return to the rotation)
  23. s***!.......we lose, Erstad hits into a DP to end a rally in LA
  24. Manny is up as the tying run.......C'mon ManRam!
  25. 3-1 NY into the bottom of the 7th.
