Floyd isn't playing, not Cameron, and he's a better offensive replacement than Cameron. Maybe that is what sweetened the deal.

Good. I love talking baseball and arguments are the essence of these boards. Just come correct. Say what you mean and mean what you say and you'll get nothing but respect from me. Yankee fans get it a little different, but that's their fault for coming to a Sox board. And Tex, thanks for sticking up for me, but I don't think I need special treatment for being here longer.

Look smartass, making good arguments doesn't put a pocket-protector in my shirt. It's not my fault I wasn't born an idiot (yes that comment is directed at you). I'm cool leaving the barbs aside, but if you want to keep slinging the zingers, that's fine with me. Four years in the Marines is basically four years of talking s*** during downtime. So I can go all day long and my skin is thicker than a rhino's. Truce?

Last I checked Woods was down 9 to Vijay (-22 to -13). Wie playing with the men is a bad publicity stunt. She hasn't even beaten professional women yet. Sorenstam's legacy isn't dependent on competing against men.

I'm not feeling any desperate "need" to win this year. How about a grace period for doing it last year? I'm not suggesting we accept a s***** team, but those pitching prospects could make our rotation excellent in a couple of years. Look at the A's. They keep their young pitching prospects and seem to just keep reloading with good arms and making a run every year. We operate with a bigger budget, so we could take the same approach and supplement it with free-agent bats. EDIT: I would, however, be in favor of trading one of those young arms for a similar type major league talent. Like AJ Burnett, who did this today: 7 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 8 K

Has it been tried yet? I don't know that it has or hasn't. But I think if it was done tactfully it could work. Although given his antics you may be right.

Good arguments aren't formed with exaggerations. When you present an exaggerated numerical value it weakens whatever point you were trying to make because you appear to not know what you are talking about. I'm not bashing him, just being critical of his style of play. I want him to stay because there is no replacing his bat. I would also like someone on the team to get in his face about his antics. He is a "professional" and should be expected to act like one.
