    While his words weren't necessarily unkind, David Ortiz was upset at the Fenway Faithful for booing Manny in his first plate appearance in tonight's game. I won't quote him since I'm sure you can find his interview on several sports news websites. To paraphrase he said that the fans were overreacting to trade "rumors". I don't think that Big Papi gets what everyone is upset about. The trade rumors aren't the main source of disgruntlement. The failing to step-up and help the team when one of it's key players goes down is the problem. I personally don't understand how someone "needs" the day off from lolly-gagging in the field and strolling down the base paths.

    Stranger things have happened. Injuries forced Wang up early for NY and two rookies who have performed for the Braves this year.

I guess Wake could go on 4 days rest because he doesn't throw his arm out with hard stuff. Maybe Papelbon? EDIT: That would be 3 days rest since he pitched on Wednesday, so I don't know what will happen.

    I will call for Theo's head for the rest of the time he is there if that is how the trade goes down. Manny is better than Huff and Cameron combined, and Sanchez is probably going to be a future ace or at least a solid #2 pitcher.
