  14. That wouldve been lower than that if not for Wakefield having to leave the game early from getting hit by a line drive to the ankle
  15. Trot Nixon is not a free agent until after the 2006 season ends. Thats noted in the free agent lists, besides it wouldve already been talked about now and Trot is a big staple of the Red Sox organization I dont see him wanting to move to another team or even Sox ever considering to trade him...
  16. exactly the games to focus on are tonight, besides at least Sox wont have to face roy halladay

  18. as i had said if he does well during the Yankees seres (which would be more appearances)---actually curt's last bullpen outing was a rough one against the angels: in 1 inning had given up 3 Hits, 1 Run
  19. Fossum, Rays to meet Yankees Tampa Bay (57-81) at New York (77-59), 7:05 p.m. ET, Tuesday Yankee Stadium doesn't seem to have the same effect on Tampa Bay this season as it had in years past. A year ago, the Devil Rays went 0-10 in the Bronx and 4-15 against New York all season. This year, though, the Yankees are the only East rival that Tampa Bay has a winning record against. The Rays are 9-4 against the Bombers -- 4-2 on the road. "I don't know. I wish I had a definitive answer. I'm hoping it continues," said Tampa Bay manager Lou Piniella. "Last year, they had their way with us." Tampa Bay heads to New York for a three-game series beginning Tuesday on the heels of winning two of the three one-run ballgames from Toronto at the Rogers Centre. The Rays won the finale behind a strong seven-inning performance by left-hander Scott Kazmir. Southpaw Casey Fossum will get the nod for the opener against New York's Randy Johnson. Fossum has gone 5-4 with a 5.59 ERA since the All-Star break. In his last start, the left-hander took the loss after giving up six runs on seven hits in 6 2/3 innings against Boston on Aug. 31. Johnson has won two in a row. In his last outing, the 6-foot-10 lefty allowed no runs on three hits in seven innings against Seattle. Pitching matchup TB: LHP Casey Fossum • 8-11, 4.92 ERA in 2005 • 2-1, 2.51 ERA vs. NYY in 2005 NYY: LHP Randy Johnson • 13-8, 4.04 ERA in 2005 • 0-1, 7.27 ERA vs. TB in 2005
  20. so far 2 innings, 1 hit, 1 K--if he's able to do the same during the yankees series, id say hes ready
