  1. ok again, knock knock offense are you there? Clement has now gone 6 strong innings giving up 1 Run on 4 hits, no Walks, 3 Ks---At 77 pitches, he could go to the 8th inning
  2. Clement after the line drive over his head i think rattled him, and now thats a wild pitch putting away the possible ground out double play
  3. Ruben is in an offensive slump right about now, since returning he has just had 2 hits in his last 20 at bats
  4. as Remy said, Sox had a big opportunity to get some Runs in the 1st inning, men on 1st and 2nd with 1 out
  5. stop looking at the pitches go by, swing away!!!
  6. cmon offense get some runs here. expected are millar, mueller and tony g, back up your boy Clement who is turning in another fine performance: 5 innings, 3 hits, 1 Run, 2 Ks, no Walks
  7. "lets be real here", its not like umpires always favor the red sox anyway, like Gabe Kapler's homerun against the Rangers that was called a double by the 3rd base umpire even though instant replays show it was right on top of the Monster. plus 3 games in a row Sox batters were called out at 1st base, even though they got to the bag easily before the catch, and thats just from the texas rangers series...
  8. if same call was given to a team that worked in the yankees' favor, you wouldnt be complaining
  9. wow instant replay showed like he left right when it was caught--Sox got another big break from there--defense continues to impress, edagr another far and accurate throw and trot catching the ball in the stands. both will be on "Baseball Tonight"
  10. Clement continuing the Sox's starting pitching dominance this week, first 9 batters retired on 37 pitches `

  15. Sox can't send him down because Pawtucket Sox games are now over for the season, and they cant release him either. So as indicated by NESN, Millar and Olerud have 1st base all to themselves and no room for Petagine, so think of him as a mascot on the bench
  16. thanks i had slipped that ad lib in there

  19. what is dimitri young mostly used as? Like papi he's more of a DH, playing 71 games this season as a DH. Id like to have him to, but I want to have a 1st baseman that will be pulling John Olerud like defensive moves.
  20. First the Union defends Kenny Rogers, now this? boo Union, very much boo um because he keeps getting arrested, and obviously has a problem with the drink??!! I think Orioles want to cleanup their look after having in 2005 a drunk Ponson, and two juiced guys Sosa and "Truthful Raffy, Period"
  21. very intriguing, I wouldnt mind that along with Sox resigning Olerud as the backup
  22. Broncos sign wide receiver Terrell Story Tools: Print Email Associated Press Posted: 12 hours ago DENVER (AP) - The Denver Broncos signed free agent wide receiver David Terrell on Wednesday to take the spot vacated when Jerry Rice retired. Terrell, a fifth-year player, was released by New England on Saturday after signing with the team on April 5. He was a first-round draft choice of the Chicago Bears and eighth overall in 2001, but never made much of a contribution with the Bears. "It is nice to have him in and get him started," coach Mike Shanahan said. "He will get a chance to adapt this week and start to get used to a different language." He has 128 career catches for 1,602 yards with nine touchdowns in 53 regular-season games. He is one of six receiver on the Denver roster. The Broncos have Rod Smith, Ashley Lelie, Darius Watts, Charlie Adams and Todd Devoe.
  23. Millar has come up in some clutch hits as well, against Baltimore in a tied game he had hit a 2-run shot to put the red sox on top 7-5. The Chicago White Sox game with 2 outs in 9th inning he got that double off the monster which was almost a homerun to set up tony g's 3-run homerun. Lets not forget how he started the offense up last night as well. I think its smart for Francona to stick to the plan hes got, platoon Millar and Olerud to keep their bats at a healthy point. plus also the state of Olerud's legs put a question mark on him being an everyday starter.
  24. oh well im still happy, its a 4 game lead going into tomorrow's possible series ending sweep with Clement on the mound. Cmon Matt lets continue this unexpected starting pitching dominance, 4 out of last 5 games Sox pitchers have gone 8 innings or more. Over last 5 games, our starters are 4-1 with a 2.68 ERA
