  7. thank you tom caron!! on NESN post-game report he is like all of us confused and irritated thet Timlin was brought in to the 7th (when he has just been doing 9th innings, 5 for 5 saves) and that he does poorly with with men on base, Timlin has allowed 17 of 31 baserunners to score (highest in majors)--niice stuff caron, dont hold it back
  8. yes being fair, even though i dislike the yankees, they would ultimately be the best team of 2005. But as it stands right now Sox have 19 games left with a 3 1/2 game lead
  9. best pitching: without a doubt Jonathan Papelbon with his first career win going 3 shutout innings allowing just a walk and K' ing 1. carried bullpen on his back dishonorable mention: much love for the guy (Timlin) but you can not bring him on with Runners on best offense: Big Clutch Papi with his 2 Homeruns (1 game winning), Manny and Millar getting back to shape dishonorable mention: Nixon, Varitek and Kap all continue their slumps best defense: bill mueller (gold glove please)
  10. cheers for Pap's first career win!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. gold glove candidate mueller with out 2
  12. alright, paps will be given the 3rd inning
  13. > now to the bottom of the 11th, Matt Perisho was warming in the pen---expected are tough hitters in Hinske, Zaun and Hill

  15. alright Paps!! onto the 11th with Tony G, Edgahh and Ortiz expected
  16. holy s*** that ball he just hit had scared me for a sec, thank you manny for over the shoulder catch
  17. 3 hits in 25 at bats is a slump, just to bair to explain it to you clearly
  18. and kapler like varitek and nixon continues his hitting slump
  19. Mueller on base for kapler--just need a good enough double to get billy home
  20. damn Paps big props to you---expected are Olerud, Nixon (hitting slump) and Mueller--Id say to do the 10th either bring Paps back in, or have Delcarmen to do it
  21. whoo paps way of the K, 2 outs
  22. just 3 hits in his last 25 at bats now--now onto papelbon to bring this game to the 10th inning
