I like this because it gives Gonzo more time with his new teammates before the season starts. Especially more time with new double play partner, Loretta.

Schill continues to deliver good reports. He did throw 35 pitches but it was over 4 scoreless innings. Loretta & Willie Harris both had RBI Doubles. Rookie Brandon Moss had a 2 RBi game. I'll release more info as they come. EDIT: The Sox currently lead 8-0 through the 6th inning. Boston has collected 11 hits, while BC has just 1 hit. Rule 5 draft pick Vermilyea is currently pitching in relief.

Its now being reported that Mets scouts were at last night's Red Sox spring training opener. That being to watch Tony G play. 2nd base is a posistion of theirs that is lacking presence, something Tony could fill in easily. Him being in Shea would make me root even more for the Mets to win the NL Last night he did go 0-3, but last night's WEEI I heard some strong defensive plays he was pulling off.
