That's it. Longevity. That's all he needs. He's already got the resume to match anyone ever in the chances he's had.
Is there a more sure thing in sports than Josh Beckett toeing the rubber in a playoff game at this point? On another board a Cleveland fan was questioning why everyone was giving game 5 to the Red Sox already (before the game had even started) and my response was "Josh f***ing Beckett!"
YOOOOOOOOUK! Gutierrez might've f***ed up there, he should've pulled up so Sizemore knew the ball was his for the taking. Looks like he slowed down a bit.
With as many times as he's quit on the team this season, it's a wonder he was even here to quit on 'em the last time. Now would be as good a time as any for him to take one of his "two week vacations from the Red Sox"... or a permanent one.
On a positive note, if this is the final Red Sox game of the season, it's nice knowing that it'd the last time we'll see Crisp in a Red Sox uniform. :dunno:
It would be a completely different game/series with a little production from him and Lugo.
That's a good point, Kilo. Both of the probable Rookies of the Year have struggled in the postseason (offensively, anyway), why would it be any different with Jacoby Ellsbury?
I thought so coming into this year but he hasn't been all that great, and has thrown a lot of INT's.
I'll say this, I do think he's a much better QB than Timmy Chang was when he was at Hawaii.
