  1. Yes it is. By the way, Colorado has one of the strangest climates around. I remember watching the bottom of the screen for school cancellations one morning before school because the snow was so bad... by the time school got out the snow was all melted, except for in the shadows of buildings and such. Enjoy Colorado, Jabs, if you do end up going. I prefer Florida so far because I'd grown tired of Colorado but it's a great state.
  2. That was a great at-bat for Garko. Let's get Perralta!
  3. More than likely. "Rocky Mountain High" or whatever it's called.
  4. I think he says he has a growth hormone deficiency. :dunno: Whatever... I don't care if he took 'em either way.
  5. Cleveland needs somebody up. It's pretty obvious Westbrook doesn't have it tonight... they're lucky the damage isn't worse.
  6. From the articles I've read it sounds like he wasn't doing it to cheat. It appears he has medical tests and doctors prescriptions and an actual problem for which he needs to take them. The timing of this whole thing is what's most unfortunate. One more hurdle they need to get past.
  7. It's what I love about baseball. The guy had a bad year -- he certainly didn't earn the $14 million that the Red Sox paid him, whether there's a good excuse for it or not... but it's the playoffs, and you can change that perception with one great month, one great series, one great game... or in this case, one great swing. Good for JD Drew... I couldn't be happier for the man, and for the time being, with a game seven looming ahead, I couldn't be happier for the team.
  8. They have those shirts for the Red Sox, too. And they probably had them for the Diamondbacks. I hope, for Garko's sake, the champagne tastes just as good when he's sipping a bottle on his couch while he's watching the World Series.
  9. Ballsy call to throw the ball on that game winning TD... but I think at home, the clock would've been stopped before it ran out had it been an incomplete pass. I absolutely love living in SEC Country where people actually get excited for their college football... it makes for a lot of fun.
  10. I bet Papelbon gets a 3 out save here.
  11. Let's not too ahead of ourselves regarding a game 7, boys... in comes Gagne.
  12. Hasn't looked great tonight, in my opinion, but he's made pitches when he's needed to and that's what's important. edit: Well, certainly didn't look great early, but he's settled in and has been quite effective.
  13. I remember in a Broncos way back around '96 or so something similar happened where a guy wasn't given a fair catch call, although he ended up getting clocked if I remember correctly, as opposed to scoring a TD. What I took from that is just sticking your hand up and down, which is what the UConn player did, is not a fair catch signal. :dunno: Kind of a s***** situation but Louisville has to play to the whistle there.
  14. U! C! O! N! N! UCONN! UCONN! UCONN! 6-1 after a win over Louisville tonight!
  15. Let's do it, boys. Get runs early and often. Let's make it a laugher... the type of game where Gagne gets to pitch with a lead that even he can't blow. f*** it... one run... two runs... ten runs... I don't give a f*** so long as they win the f***ing game.
  16. I love Millar... I missed that the first time but that's awesome that he did that.
  17. f*** you guys, I'm focusing on game three against the Rockies... Obviously the focus is on game six... and had Kilo neglected to insert the most important word, "if", then you could get on him. But right now, it's a hypothetical situation and he presented it as such... so why get on him?. Game six is a winnable game and if they were to win, the Red Sox would have to be the favorites in game seven. They'd have the momentum, the home field advantage, and that Beckett kid, whom I hear is quite decent, available for relief if they absolutely needed him.
  18. Funny, Mr. Garko, because I remember Willie Randolph made similar comments about how good Champagne tastes... f***ing idiot.
  19. And they traded Chris Chambers. By the way, I didn't get to watch him play much, having lived in Colorado... I remember a few years ago he had tremendous upside... did he ever live up to his potential? The numbers suggest he didn't... but he also had no QB... ever.
  20. I don't think we need an alternative to Schilling. I know he had a rough outing, and yeah, I'd feel better with a guy ready to come in and relieve him if he struggles (but that can be said about any of our guys except for Beckett, at this point), but I trust Schilling completely in a game we need to have. I'm excited! Nervous too! God I love the playoffs.
