  1. Come on, David! Let's get it done, tonight! Man, it's not very often that I'm this pumped up for a regular season game!
  2. Oh boy, I'd be the happiest guy on this board if that was the case!
  3. I'm sorry that my opinion that you should quit rehashing this argument -- particularly when it's A. not justified and B. not relevant to the topic at hand -- is meaningless for having not served my country. I'll refrain from sharing it from here on out. Carry on with acting like a seventh grader -- look at how far it got TheRivernator. I certainly hope you suffer the same fate as the man you've tried to emulate with your antics. And for the record, I certainly don't agree with what he said in that particular topic, nor do I disagree with your reaction -- hell, you can check the thread again to see my thoughts -- but that doesn't mean I want to see this brought up in every single thread.
  4. At some point don't you, as the manager, decide to pull your head out of your ass and not pitch to Wells? As much as I want Pauley to succeed tomorrow night, even for reasons that exceed my Red Sox fandom, I think we're looking at a sweep here.
  5. Yeah, wish I could watch it -- he was hanging out in my basement just a few years ago when he was in San Diego's farm system. I've got to find a place that has MLB Extra Innings or whatever around here.
  6. Sweet! That game's not on ESPN though, is it?
  7. Knock it the f*** off! If you're going to act like a middle schooler -- or, even worse, like Rivernator -- do it elsewhere.
  8. Just knock it off, man. If you insist on acting like a seventh grader, do it elsewhere.
  9. I'm not so sure I see the resemblance, actually.
  10. Rudy Gay at #5 to the Hawks? It'd be a great pickup for the Hawks. He really should have returned to UConn for another year after falling from possible #1 to possibly outside the top 5. That team will be a playoff team in two or three years, though, whether they get Gay or not.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2460799 A bit of sad news as former NFL FB Craig "Ironhead" Heyward has lost his battle with a recurring tumor and passed away at the age of 39. A few years ago, a stroke had left him partially paralyzed. According to the article, he was only expected to live another 3-5 years, so his death wasn't completely unexpected, as there were no plans to make another attempt at removing the tumor. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
  12. I don't know. Ponder this thought for a second -- who does Dallas or Phoenix have that could even slow Shaq down? I'm cheering for whomever wins the West in the Finals, but I'm sure Pat Riley is licking his lips at the possibility of seeing those two teams in the Finals.
  13. Who'd have thought we'd beat Kazmir and the Royals would beat the Yankees in the same night?

    Indy 500

Actually -- and I'm sure Moose will agree with me -- we happen to appreciate Danica Patrick for her skills and what she can do with a car. http://www.yorkshiresoul.org/danica%20patrick.jpg
  15. As unlikely as it may be, it'd be cool for me to see if it's David Pauley because I went to High School with him, which I bring up every time his name is mentioned. :D
  16. You act like the Yankees have never gotten a call before -- the problem comes when you're expecting every single 50/50 call to go the way of the Yankees.
  17. Man, you complain about umpires like nobody I've ever seen before.
  18. Can't believe Wells is favored. Definetely not a game I'm expecting to take -- just hope we can keep it within reach until we get to their pen because I'm not expecting to get Kazmir for too many runs.
  19. Yeah, well, me and Youk can atleast take comfort in the fact that people see sweeping the Rockies as something of an accomplishment, this year.
  20. I'd be down for it. I love Dermarr Johnson -- George Karl, however, doesn't for some reason. Then again, with Karl, a guy can go from being a starter to never touching the floor and back to a starter in over the span of a month. I'd do it.
  21. There's no two days in between games in this series, I believe, so Phoenix won't have any extra days off to rest their legs. Teams that depend on shooting generally fade out in the playoffs because they're playing on tired legs. I think that'll eventually bite Phoenix, particularly Steve Nash, in the ass.
  22. Biggest mistake the Avalanche ever made was trading Chris Drury. I'm still extremely pissed off about that move. The guy's not the biggest numbers guy ever but I always felt that if you needed a big goal, you could count on Drury getting it. Plus he was a fan favorite in Colorado. He is just so god damn clutch. The Avalanche have never been able to replace his assetts.
  23. But does David Ortiz f*** up in every big spot?
