Looks like we have a winner in the Jason Werth sweepstakes. I think the deal works out well for both sides and I'm glad we were finally able to conclude our ongoing negotiations.

Best wishes to Griffey. It's such a shame that his great career and incredible talents were overshadowed by injuries and cheaters. Definitely the best pure player of our generation, IMO.

I lied. For some reason I was under the impression that 2 perfectos have never been thrown in the same season (that's what I heard reported I think on either ESPN or MLB Network following Halladay's), but looking at the record books there were 2 thrown in 1880; by Lee Richmond for Worcester (June 12, 1880), and by Monte Ward for Providence (June 17, 1880). Both thrown in the same week. That's crazy I never realized that. So technically in the modern era this is the first year that 2 were thrown in the same season (should be 3).

Absolutely... this is going to raise al sorts of replay discussion and whatnot. I just don't see how he so badly missed that call. What's interesting though, is if he did get the perfect game is that it would have been the third one not only this season, but within a month. That's pretty crazy to me. Of the 20 PGs in MLB history, until this year there's never been more than one thrown in a single season. The fact that their rightfully should have been 3 this year is just mystifying to me.

lol, even just based on his league-wide emails he seems irate. I guess he feels excluded because most of the league discussions take place here, where he can no longer post, rather than on the league page. Oh well....

Yeah I'm not too worried. Of course A-Jax started to cool down from his hot start RIGHT after I got him from Dipre, so I just wanted to move him. I'm sure Izturis will be fine.

I think it is. Stupid me was looking at their numbers over the last 15 and 30, and didn't take note of how few ABs Izturis had. I forgot he was hurt. Either way, if it goes through fine, if it's vetoed great. I don't really care too much, hopefully I get lucky and Izturis gets hot.

I took a huge gamble dealing A-Jax for Izturis, but A-Jax just wasn't cutting it for me and I desperately need some IF help. You know what...on second though, I'm having second thoughts on that trade lol. Feel free to veto everybody haha

He got off to a hot start, then started to implode a little bit for a while there (hence why I was trying to give him away), but now he's been good again lately. Hopefully he keeps it up.

It's a good thing nobody jumped on Silva when I was practically trying to give him away, another good outing for him today. 7 IP, 2 H, 0 ER. I'll take it. Btw, I'm shopping A-Jax, Hamels, and Werth.
