  1. Sour grapes
  2. This is POPPIN! When it was rumored thatthe White Sox might be shopping him I immediately liked the idea of the Yankees getting involved, although I thought it was a longshot. I like Betemit, but this is definitly a great trade. I suspect he plays first and we dont get in on Tex, but his versatility allowing him to play the outfield is a plus. Aside from that, I think his personality and off-field characteristics are a nice addition to for the Yankees. I like this move a lot.
  3. Wow nice find. I didn't even realize. This is an absolute joke.
  4. Oh, I got what you're saying.
  5. He's recovered. He saw some time with the Yanks in September.
  6. Looks that way. I was wondering the same thing myself when i first saw his post.
  7. It really was for some reason. Having all those Red Sox on the team, plus the Boston coaching staff patrolling the home clubhouse during the last year of the Stadium. Plus the Papelbon nonsense didn't help things
  8. This would be a nice tribute for Fenway's 100th anniversary. I just hope the Yankees win the 2011 World Series so you guys have to deal with what we dealt with this year having to watch Francona and co. control the Yankee Stadium home dugout and clubhouse.
  9. Don't bother, Brian.
  10. The American League also has this position known as the DH.
  11. I still think there's an outside chance he returns to the Yankees, but that's a slim possibility. If not I think Oakland is a lock, especially considering they re-hired their former strength coach Bobby Alejo, who was also Giambi's personal trainer and followed him to the Yankees only to be let go when MLB issued new policies regarding personal trainers and their access to the clubhouse.
  12. Oh stop it. What's wrong with what Arod2212 said? Sox fan wants to take a shot at our third place finish, so he countered with his statement. One sided banter is no fun.
  13. Yeah. Even a Free Agent who you resigned I believe. I think you only have to wait until June 15 when you sign a player from another team.
  14. Who knows if the Yankees are looking into him or not. They could be just kepping it quiet for all we know. I do know Stick Michael went over to Japan on a scouting trip earlier this season, so maybe he took a look at him. We'll see though.
  15. And hopefully the Yankees have no part in it.
  16. HE was one of Girardi's boys in Florida. I doubt he gets even the chance to make major contributions to the big club though. It's whatever, justadds depth. Can never have enough pitching.
  17. I think we definitely need to hang on to him, especially considering what we sent back toPittsburghin that deal. Letting him go somewhere else is a mistake.
  18. It's always close with Halladay. He's probably, at least IMO, the best all around starting pitcher in the game today. He could easily get it with no contention from anyone, but with the year Lee had he most certainly deserves it. Hard to believe Doc only has one Cy though.

    AL ROY

I didn't realize just how close it was. Go Mike!!
  20. He can play first too. Also, I like Dejesus, but I'm not entrely sold on him as the next Yankee center fielder. I'd like to try and do better. And I dont care what deal Kennedy goes in, as long as he goes.
  21. Please Cashman, DO NOT go out and get Wily Taveras. Maybe put together a package including Kennedy and try to pry Atkins away.
