  1. Lets keep in mind the fact that Joba was wrecked when he said this. Not that I care much, the video entertained me.
  2. Pena will wear number 19, btw. Idk, this team could be very good but I'm just not as optimistic as jacko, there are too many ifs and question marks if you ask me. We'll see how everything hold up though, im just excited the season is about to start.
  3. Read the article, April Fools
  4. Albaledejo has won the last spot in the bullpen over Tomko (who pitched very well this spring), Giese, and Aceves. So far the roster looks like this with one spot up for grabs. Pitchers Sabathia Wang Burnett Pettitte Joba Coke Albaledejo Edwar Veras Marte Bruney Mo Catchers Posada Molina Infielders Teixeira Cano Jeter Ransom Berroa/Pena Outfielders Matsui Swisher Gardner Melky Damon Nady
  5. This is an interesting move that they would eat all of that money. He's also just 1 HR away from 500. Interesting to see where he ends up.
  6. Lol no he isn't very overrated at all. But you know ORS, if he is/was a Yankee he's overrated. And for the record, I'm pretty sure he's gonna break camp with the bucs, so I wouldn't consider him a Pirates prospect.
  7. No chance we get him
  8. Hopefully that option doesn't present itself because Austin Jackson will be doing so well patrolling Center Field at Yankee Stadium
  9. Na hell no! I wish that was me that took those pictures. Some dude posted them on a blog or some s***. I just thought I'd share. It amazed me how nice those tickets were. It's almost disgusting, I'd probably be reluctant to take them out of the box and to a game lol.
  10. No wonder premium tickets are so expensive, they have to cover the costs to make these fancy-schmancy tickets http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Fsh7GWfK4f0/ScpQDMYbEzI/AAAAAAAAGLk/dBW-uWdaiaE/s400/LegendsTicketsBox.JPG http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Fsh7GWfK4f0/ScpQiZ_PAdI/AAAAAAAAGL0/cv_x6pez9L0/s400/LegendsTickets.JPG http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Fsh7GWfK4f0/ScrQvpMomgI/AAAAAAAAGMU/_dNrKBvh8oc/s400/1+box.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Fsh7GWfK4f0/ScrQvS4BopI/AAAAAAAAGMM/0j0qxU6NnLs/s400/2+booklet.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Fsh7GWfK4f0/ScrQu9YTXeI/AAAAAAAAGME/QMUmS3e9gYI/s400/3+tickets.jpg Oh also, demolition on the old Stadium is set to start in April. I thought previously they were leaving it up to shoot a movie there this year, "Keeper of the Pinstripes" or something but I guess not.
  11. My money is on Kelly Stinnett. All time though it's definitely Gibson. Major Leaguers then it's bench, with Yogi a close second, IMO.
  12. I thought arbitration eligibility service time was based on your time on a 40 man roster? 3 years or whatever the exact number is. I could be wrong.
  13. According to the book, "The Rocket That Fell To Earth" about Roger Clemens, author Jeff Pearlman touched on Piazza in the chapter about the 2000 World Series. Former Boston Red Sox first baseman Reggie Jefferson tells Pearlman, "He's a guy who did it, and everybody knows it. It's amazing how all these names, like Roger Clemens, are brought up, yet Mike Piazza goes untouched." Another veteran player agreed, saying, "There was nothing more obvious than Mike on steroids." According to Pearlman, when that player is asked what are the odds, on a scale of 1 to 10, that Piazza had used PEDs, the player replies: I've always liked Piazza, but I just wanted to throw this out there. I don't think anyone would be particularly surprised to learn this is true.
  14. Yankees/Red Sox. It's on YES, NESN, and MLB Network. 9th inning though.
  15. Man it's been a long winter. I love this game, I need to get my fix somehow. When the Caribbean Series rolled around I was tuned into every game. Same with the WBC and Spring Training. Idc who's playing, with the dish I watch whoever is on, whenever they're on.
  16. A-Jax just said MOTHAf***A DEVERN HANSACK!!! Grand Slam, 7-1 Yankees.
  17. These convenience charges are ridiculous. Most of the tickets I looked at today had a convenience charge that was about 60-80% of the actual ticket price. RIDICULOUS.
  18. I say let him do his thing at short if he's unwilling to move. Then let him walk after 2010. Let him go play in LA with Torre or some s***.
  19. Tatsunori Hara, the Yomiuri Giants manager. Interestingly his Yomiuri first baseman and Korean star and Home Run sensation in the '06 Classic, Seung-Yeop Lee didn't participate this time around and chose to stay in Japan for Giants camp. Would have been interesting to see him come up to the plate last night and hit one out against his manager And yeah, taht would be awesome to play some of the games at either Fenway, Yankee, or even Citi Field, but I think the cold conditions wouldn't permit it with the tournament being played in March. November, although still cold, would be better It's ******** that they didn't even count it as a steal. Ichiro was amazing, IMO he should have got MVP. f*** Dice-K! lol And although Darvish blew the save in the 9th it was nice to see him on the mound, with the strikeout to end the tournament. His control was obviously off last night, but he's one incredible pitcher. That slider is just disgusting, I wouldnt even know what to do standing in the box with that pitch coming in.
  20. Asian crowds go crazy during games, it's something else that's for sure. I'd love to see that enthusiasm here in the States.
